Oaklawn Park Racing Analysis — Sunday, January 27, 2019, by Patrick Mooney

Race 1: Wholehearted has several races in her past that would win this. Now with Diodoro running the show expect her to equal those races and get the win. Gorder has Run Wrightaway coming in from Laurel where she split the field against allowance foes. Her race 3 back at CD put her right in the mix. Tough to judge last race for Summer Lovin at FG vs maiden claimers but could see her closing well to get a piece.

Selections: 5-11-12

Race 2: Catanova has been banging heads with allowance type at Haw this winter and should have the lead at the top of the stretch. Zip ‘n Sip comes off huge effort vs NW4L at Delta, should be right there. Silver Spun might be compromised by his post but has won 3 in a row so hard to argue with that.

Selections: 5-4-1

Race 3: Arky bred maidens here for our gambling pleasure. Presley is one of many first timers in this field and her trainer hits at a high percentage with these types. Dam has a 4 for 4 batting average when it comes to dropping winners. Another Rocket has Asmussen/Santana and a is also another with great dam stats (9 of 10 winners). Arkansas Alley showed speed and faded vs open company at FG, looms big if she got some conditioning out of that race.

Selections: 7-9-6

Race 4: Goodwillambassador ships in from the west coast under new trainer Villafranco, fits well with these. Untraceable comes off a maiden win in his last at Kee and has some sharp works leading into this and tries to hold on into the short stretch. Gray Sky needs another check (700K yearling purchase!).

Selections: 5-2-4

Race 5: Rapid Dial has been in the money in each race since he left OP last April, has 2 wins in 4 starts at the Hot Springs track, and appears razor sharp for Ingrid Mason. Sevier runs at his lowest level on the page and has shown speed vs better, will be tough. Souper Touch won vs similar at Del Mar last out.

Selections: 10-8-3

Race 6: The entry Moonlight Train comes off big win vs Okie breds in an N2X affair, 2nd time Broberg, tough post but should handle this group with anything close to similar effort to his last. Racey Reecy has good tactical speed and tries OP for the first time for KVH. A rare GP shipper Southernperfection comes in of a good effort there in Florida, has back class.

Selections: 1A-9-8

Race 7: On paper this allowance affair looks more like a stakes race. Beach Flower has turned into a monster since adding blinkers this past August for Mac Robertson and was victim of a very questionable DQ in her last at Kee, will amend today. Adore just wins. Rose of Malibu will most likely sit off the pace and try to run them down to the abbreviated finish line.

Selections: 4-5-2

Race 8: Share the Upside seems to really be putting it together, should handle the class hike. Nottoway has good tactical speed and has a near bullet work coming in. West coast shipper Hitters Park fits well here.

Selections: 10-5-1

Race 9: Maiden 3 year olds trying 2 turns and Eskendar appears to be wanting such a race. Ulele has had 2 solid efforts in Kentucky and if can overcome the outside post should be tough. Bess has a good effort going 7 panels two back and will like a return to a fast track.

Selections: 3-10-4
