The Daily Gallop – Across the Board (Season 2) League Rules
Commissioners = Vinny Blond (@PicksByDynasty) and Mike Gorgonzola (@Gorgonzola 44)
1. Three Horses Per Race in case of scratches (Please only 3) and rank them in order.
2. Top pick that is running is the horse that will be used each race to calculate score so please rank your horses 1,2, and 3 when submitting.
3. Picks must be submitted an hour before post time (It is a free tournament for bragging rights it allows the commissioners to get the table of everyone picks out on time before the first post If you do not submit picks you will be given the MORNING LINE favorite as your selection.
4. We understand that life happens, so if you cannot do your own selections for the week, please let Vinny Blond or Mike Gorgonzola know roughly 48 hours before. You will be allowed to have someone else submit picks on your behalf if need be, but it needs to be messaged ahead of time.
5. Scoring is based off $2 Win/Place/Show wagers. If there is a tie, the tie breaker goes
A. Total number of winners
B. Highest paying winner
C. Most races with a top pick in the money.
6. You are allowed 1 Best Bet of the day. Please make this be known when you submit your picks. These horses’ totals will be multiplied by 1.5.
7. There are four divisions, 12 teams in each division, Divisions were drawn randomly via Livestream.
8. Top 4 teams from each division will make the Triple Crown Playoffs.
in addition, the next 8 teams from the entire league with the highest ROI will make the playoffs.
top 2 teams from each division will receive a first-round bye in the playoffs
teams in 3rd and 4th will play in the first round against the ROI qualifiers.
24 teams will make the playoffs.
9. the remaining 24 teams will be in a loser’s bracket-style tournament. Losers from the Triple Crown Playoff will drop down into the loser’s bracket throughout the playoffs rounds.
10. Standings are based on your overall record. For the playoffs, the top 16 teams will be seeded 1-16 based on their overall record. If there is a tie, the tiebreaker goes:
A. Head to head record against all tied teams.
B. Overall ROI
C. Number of top picks Winners
D. The number of top picks in the money.
11. Each race card will be the full card that is handicapped, not just the stakes races.
12. The full schedule plus which track we are handicapping for the week will be posted on TheDailyGallop.Net (Please note that the track is subject to change)
