Race 1: CLAIMING $16,000 – $14,000 5 1/2 Furlongs (Turf)  Picks: 1-2-7
Royally Cool (#1): The speed of the field and the inside and short way around the track. Trainer is 21% in dirt to turf start and has among highest beyer numbers in the field. Must use.
Miss Maris (#2): In the superfecta in all 6 career starts. Was second at this level last time out and has good workout coming in. Good jockey/trainer combo.
Blame T J (#7): Drops from $20,000 to $16,000 level today. Has good speed in front of him and competition is among weakest he’s faced. Distance should be just about right for her.

Race 2: ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING $25,000 Six Furlongs  Picks: 2-4-5
Early Entry (#2): Loves Monmouth Park and has won two of his last three starts. Jorge Navarro is 34% with last out winners. Good speed and four straight beyers off 88 or higher. Bullet four furlong work last week, ready to go. Must use.
His Name is Sue (#4): Plenty of speed and needs a good break. Has run well at Monmouth Park in the past, and has good speed figures that match up to the others. Can go to the lead or stalk.
Speightsford (#5): Shortens up in distance and returns to  track where he’s had a little success. Won two back going wire to wire and has seven straight races of beyers 80 or higher. Good works coming in and will be tough.

Race 3: OPTIONAL CLAIMING $20,000 5 1/2 Furlongs (Turf)  Picks: 1-2-7
Like What I See (#1): Makes 2019 debut today. Trainer is 11% when 90 days or more away. Gets Joe Bravo in the saddle. Was 2nd in a stakes at Monmouth last summer, good hold fo the track. Will be sent early. Can speed hold up?

Blue Chip Prospect (#7): On the board in seven of eight career turf starts, with two wins in there. Has a second and third in two starts at Monmouth. Will be around the front and can get first run. Trainer is 19% shipping. Solid jockey/trainer combo.

Race 4: CLAIMING $12,500 – $10,500 1 Mile 70 Yards Picks: 5-1-3
My Girl Anne (#5): Gets into a new barn for a trainer on a good run. Trainer is 26% with horse first after the claim. Gets Nik Juarez  for the first time and should workout a good outside trip. Has good runs at this distance and looms large.
Banana Anna (#1): Four of her 10 wins have come at Mommouth Park, gets the rail and shortest way around the track. First time in new barn, trainer is 23% with horses first after the claim and 31% in claimers. I think she will improve and have a say in the end.
Cold Hearted Pearl (#3): Facing horses she has beaten in the past. Has highest beyer number of any horse in the field from last race. She will be close to the lead and she has good figures which means she should be around at the end.

Race 5: ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING $30,000 Five Furlongs (Turf)  Picks: 1-10-4
Faction Cat (#1): Last out was outclassed and outrun. Drops into this race with much easier company and a better chance. From the inside he can use his speed. Five straight races of beyers 84 or higher. Trainer is 21% shipping. Angel Suarez is having a good meet.

Race 6: CLAIMING $20,000 – $18,000 One Mile  Picks: 2-6-3
San Elijo (#2): Last raced at Keeneland in 2018 and drops to $20,000 level today. Trainer is 18% when off more than 90 days and 33% when dropping two classes. Has good speed and tight turns should help him. Must use.
Purchasing Power (#6): Tried turf last out and didn’t work, back to dirt and in new barn. Trainer is 29% with horses second after the claim. Only win came at Monmouth Park. Has a outside trip but has good speed figures compared to others.
Meade (#3): Makes 2019 debut today and in new barn. Trainer is 15% with horses in barn for first time and 25% in first time claiming races. Stumbled badly at the start last time and it cost him. I think he will be much better this time around.

Summer in Saratoga (#6): Makes return after tough 4th in career debut in January. Trainer is 29% when off more than 90 days and 27% in second career start. She will have a good pace in front of her and close with a rush.
