Race 1: CLAIMING $5,000 Six FurlongsPicks: 3-4-6
Dr. Cerrato (#3): 1st and 2nd in back to back starts. this gelding has found a home at the $5,000 level, he comes from mid pack in a race with a lot of speed. Trainer is 26% in claiming races. Must use.
Port Louis (#4): Drops back down to $5,000 level after three straight mediocre efforts in higher company. The last time he was at this level he won going away. He will be among the pacesetter but could have enough to hang around. 
Time for Quality (#6): Returns off a three moth layoff, here trainer is 13% and gets leading rider Weston Hamilton for the first time. He won at this distance three starts back and looks to regain his form today. 


Race 2: CLAIMING $5,000 5 1/2 Furlongs Picks: 5-3-6 
Elbow Room (#5): Comes back in his second start off long layoff, where the trainer is 22%, He drops to a level that he has been successful in the past. Good speed and can get the ground. Successful jockey/trainer combination. 
Thaddeus (#3): Has won four of his last nine starts, including at this level last time out. Hit the board in all three career starts at Laurel Park.  Front end speed can go a long way if not challenged. 
Pegasus Red (#6): Shortens up in distance and will have a new rider today. Will come from off the pace and will get pace to chase. Will be coming late. 


Race 3: MAIDEN CLAIMING $10,000 Six Furlongs Picks: 6-3-1
Cool Alley (#6): Drops from $25,000 to $10,000 level, where the trainer is 33% when dropping two classes. Good workouts coming into the race and will have speed to chase. Numbers tell us she is ready to run a big one. 
Whenallelsefails (#3): Will be among the pace setters and is at a level she can run well at. Trainer i 20% in route to sprints. Could have enough to hang around. 
Astrea (#1): Has the rail and can save ground the whole way, speed figures consistent, long shot chance. 


Race 4:  CLAIMING $16,000 – $14,000 Six Furlongs Picks: 6-8-1
Lippi Lorenzo (#6): Moves to a new barn and is now a first time gelding, should be more relaxed and focused as a result. Good speed figures coming in and should be a short price. 
Belmont Ride (#8): Comes off a win last time out and moves to a new barn, where the trainer is 31% with first time after the claim. Will be sitting mid pack and come late, must avoid being wide on turn. 
Glad Dad (#1): Moves up in class after winning his last start. This level should be good for him, not to high not to low. Moves to leading trainer barn for the first time, gets the rail so should save ground. 

Race 5: ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING $35,000 1 1/16 Dirt Picks: 6-5-1A
Unbridledadventure (#6): Was third in a stakes at Aqueduct two starts back, but ran lackluster last time out. Drops to a low level in which she won three starts back. She has won three of her last six races and is in good form. She won her only start at Laurel Park. 
Moon Virginia (#5): First or third in each of her last four starts. Competing today at a distance that she loves. Trevor McCarthy has a good record aboard this mare. Trainer is also 33% with horses second time in there barn. 
Awesome Singer (#1A): Won three of her last six starts and has won four times at this distance. Angel Suarez has two wins aboard her. Makes sense. 


Race 6: CLAIMING $12,500 – $10,500 Six Furlongs Picks: 4-8-2
Chinnici (#4): Ran uninspiring last time out but before that, won three straight races. That last race was his first off a five month layoff, he also drops in class and should have an easier spot. Has plenty of speed, can use that speed to go a log way. 
Rockin Cowboy (#8): On the board in three straight starts and has a win in between. Loves the Laurel Park track, good jockey/trainer combination. 
Honorable Service (#2): Has a pair of runner up finishes in his career at Laurel Park. Comes in from Part where the trainer is 17% shipping. Can save ground from the inside and come with a late run. 


Race 7: CLAIMING $16,000 – $14,000 Six Furlongs Picks: 4-7-6 
Top Hat Tizzy (#4): Drops back to six furlongs today and gets some class relief. This will be her second start off a year layoff, so second time around should be better. Gets a new rider in Sheldon Russell. 
Call Me Jelly Roll (#7): Drops from $25,000 to $16,000 and has among the largest beyer numbers of any horse in here today. Good jockey/trainer combination and has a good closing kick. Will be coming late. 
Barbsgray Lion (#6): Drops down to $16,000 today and has Forest Boyce back aboard. Only win came over the Laurel Park track, lowest claimer of her career, should be tough. 


Race 8: ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING $50,000 6 Furlongs Picks: 4-5-7
Marvelous Martina (#5): Went two turns last time out and it didn’t go well, now cuts to six furlongs at a distance she should love. Trainer is 21% in route to sprints and 16% with second time lasix. Gets Trevor McCarthy for the first time. 
Past Perfect (#5): Goes two  turns for the first time today, pedigree suggests she should love two turns. She will be coming from off the pace and speed figures show she has among the highest of the group. 
Nightlife (#7): Broke her maiden sprinting and now goes two turns for the first time. She must get a good trip and avoid going wide on both turns. Pedigree suggests that she should get the ground. Trainer is 27% in allowance races. 


Race 9: MAIDEN CLAIMING $16,000 – $14,000 5 1/2 furlongs Picks: 7-1-6
Rafter (#7): Drops to lowest level claimer of his career and drops to the shortest distance. Trainer is 30% in maiden claimers. Must get a good break at the start. Consistent beyers and a prime power of 108. Good chance. 
Stacksdenero (#1): Draws the rail and gets a new rider. Moves up in class where the trainer is 18% when moving up one class. Prime power of 103, he should save ground and get a good run late. 
Mr. Chesapeakecity (#6): Moves up in class and gets a new trainer. Prime Power of 99, will be among the early leaders. Good chance.
