Gulfstream Park Racing Analysis- Friday, Jan 25, 2019- By David Pyrz

                                                        Gulfstream 1-25-19

  1. 1-6…. #1 Barbarossa- 1st time claimer for Saffie wins at 30%, bullet work 4 days ago for owner Calabrese who loves to be in the winner’s circle. Gaffalione aboard where he wins at 46% when riding for Saffie. #6 Big Possible- 1st claim for Barboza who wins at 39% and hits board 78% and goes back to the turf where he has a 1st and a 2nd at the distance.
  2. 1-2-4…. #1 Zulu- 3rd off where Navarro wins 38% and also dropping where he wins 41% while hitting board 81% of the time. Shortening up to 6f but still should win. #2 Musical Heart- loves GP and distance and a repeat of his 12-2 race would make him very tough here. #4 Delta Bluesman- has the back class to win this if he runs one from memory.
  3. 2-1…. #2 Dream of God- good tactical speed and his 2 most recent starts would probably win this if he can repeat. #1 Braver Then We Are- Dropping and going turf to dirt and sprinting 1st time on dirt might wake this one up.
  4. 8-5…. #8 Teenage Idol- biggest drop in racing from msw to maiden claiming and getting 1st time Lasix where Maker wins 26%. #5 War Rose- Drops in class and Johnny V stays on which means we will use.
  5. 7…. #7 Jacks A Warrior- Was entered last week in same conditions and distance but scratched. Back again this Friday and looking to stretch out his speed and wire the field today.
  6. 1…. #1Balaban- is a 5yo gelding with only 2 lifetime starts but Jason Servis trains and he is on the rail so we will lean hard on him.
  7. 8-4…. We are going to use the two Woodbine runners here. #8 Eminent Force- has come south to GP in the past with much success. Last start had a bunch of trouble but has a good work since and think he is ready to win today. #4 Melmich- The other Woodbine invader is the class of this race. If his poly form transfers to the turf he can win.
  8. 3-5…. #3 Starship Reina- Navarro trained and has never missed the board in 11 starts at GP and his 3rd off layoff. #5 Mischief Maas- 3rd off , dropper with Saffie is a stone cold 1 run closer who will be flying late.
  9. 8…. #8 Max K.O.- Mclaughlin trained Florida bred is taying in open company. Paco Lopez stays on and running 1 mile again on the turf where the raace flow looks positive to run another big one.
  10. 59….#5  Uno Mas Modelo- will be tough to deny. Big work, dropping to face familiar foes and likes GP. #9 Magnifier- is Navarro trained 2rd off layoff and almost beat top choice 2 races back.
  11. 513…. #5 Dah Philly was full of run in last start at 66-1 but had a ton of trouble. Matz has this horse rady and hoping we get a good price today. #13 Box of Gold- has a big ml but will be tough if draws in. outside post will add to the price but has some sleepy good races that shows this one can run a bit.

Good Luck to All ! Dahorsecapper
