Gulfstream Park Racing Analysis — Friday, December 28, 2018, by David Pyrz

  1. 2-4…. #2 Elizabeth’s Vow- had some trouble in last start and is coming back a little quicker than normal but we think the pace will be ok and she will be firing down the lane and be up in time. #4 Our Closure-  has J. Ortiz aboard and can for sure win this with one of her top turf effort’s from the past.
  2. 6-7…. #6 Miago- is 3rd off layoff against this bad group and just might be rounding into form. #7 Foolish Prince- is 3rd off layoff, dropping in class and run well in the past at GP so have to use.
  3. 4-3-6…. #4 Starship Reina- Navarro trained has the speed to wire the field and should win with her top effort. #3 Arcelor- could benefit if the top choice and #6 Pink Mama get into a speed duel.
  4. PASS- I will be punching the ALL button here.
  5. 6…. #6 Homeboy- is 2nd off layoff and on a drop. The pace just might be right for him to run on at the end for the upset and I am using him as a single at a price.
  6. PASS– another race where I will just watch or press the ALL button as I have no firm opinion.
  7. 42…. #4 Thetrashmaniscoming- was running well at the end of his last two races. Hoping this time he is a little closer and that kick finally has him in the winner’s circle. #2 Identifier-Navarro trained and great positional speed. Will be tough if he gets a lone lead.
  8. 28…. #2 Ferdinanda- will benefit with any moisture in the turf where she has exceled and fires every time. #8 Icespire- by Frankel, Juddmonte owned and has run well at the distance before.
  9. 45…. #4 Tale of Fire- Fipke bred which is similar to another trained by Navarro (Aztec Sense) has shown some promise and will be a better price then the other Navarro so using on top. #5 Zulu- the other Navarro but will be a short price. Going back to 7 furlongs and will be tough to deny.
  10. 12…. #12 Panama Papers- taking a flyer and using the outside drawn gelding as a single. 4-4 in the 4 at GP has shown that he can run wide and thinking the price will be right with an 8-1 ml to go all in on the stretch runner.
  11. 8-2-1-7-4…. What a tough race but were going to use #8 Narrows Bridge- on top. Wesley Ward wins 25% with blinkers off on a huge sample and of course is a master with 2yo’s granted this one is only 2yo for 3 more days. #2 Courtesy Notice- will be tough as he has faced tougher in KY and maybe will find GP to his liking. #1 Mesa Madeira – 3 races on the turf were all ok a repeat will most likely hit the board in this. #7 Mi Karlita- is an interesting bomb by Bullet Train who was the workout buddy of Frankel in Europe and has produced some good runners so far. #4 Bally Squall- dropping and trying turf again so have to use just in case.

Good Luck to All !
