Golden Gate 6/5/20

Race 1 – 5F MC 5,000

#2 Chief Eagle Eye (5/2) has finished 3rd in each of the last 3 starts including at this level last out. Juan Hernandez jumps back aboard today.

#6 Dave’s Gift (2/1) closed for a good 2nd place finish at this level last out just ahead of Chief Eagle Eye. Desormeaux should have this one in the mix late.

2-6

Race 2 – 1 Mile (Turf) ALW 50,000

#5 Mulhima (9/5) made a big move before flattening out late last out. Good workout coming in and should improve 2nd start off the layoff.

#4 Callmejessiejames (7/2) finished 3rd last out in the first start in almost a year. Silvio Amador should have this one in a good position.

5-4

Race 3 – 5.F MC 5,000

#5 Kayla’s Cowgirl (Even) takes a huge drop in class today for Jonathan Wong. Ran for the tag for the first time last out at Santa Anita. Could be the quickest early.

#7 Bank of Many (4/1) for Ellen Jackson was a beaten favorite last out at this level. Could benefit from a fast pace.

5-7

Race 4 – 6F OC 50,000

#5 Returray (2/1) won at this level back in March. Should be sitting just off the pace under Kyle Frey.

#2 Jeffnjohn’sthundr (7/5) was an impressive maiden winner last out for Jeff Bonde. Juan Hernandez stays aboard.

5-2

Race 5 – 1 Mile (Turf) ALW

#4 Cool Hunter (7/2) was loose on the lead last out but was caught late. Could end up alone up front again today and cutting back to a mile should help.

#3 Rate For Me (9/5) ships in from Turf Paradise for trainer Jeffrey Metz. All 11 career wins on the turf.

4-3

Race 6 – 6F CLM 8,000

#6 Cash For Cass (3/1) won easily last out and was re-claimed by Jacqui Navarre. Finished 2nd at this level two races back for Navarre. Should have a good trip under Frank Alvarado from just off the pace.

#1 Hopscotchy (9/2) comes in with back to back wins, both rallying from well off the pace. Look for Catalino Martinez to be closing late.

6-1

Race 7 – 5F (Turf) ALW 50,000

#2 Slam Dunk Sermon (2/1) won well last out against a few of these runners. Alejandro Gomez should have this one close up early.

#7 Eustace (7/2) made a wide move on the turn last out and flattened out late finishing 3rd behind Slam Dunk Sermon. Solid work coming in to this race, better trip could be the key.

2-7

Race 8 – 5.5F MC 12,500

#6 Known (5/2) broke very slow last out and flew late to lose by a nose. Should be heavily backed today off that performance.

#3 Hula King (8/1) closed for a good 2nd place finish last out at this level. Should be around late.

6-3
