Race 3 is leg D of the Stronach 5

Race 1 – 6F CLM 6,250

#5 Thanks (8/5) was a close third as a beaten favorite last out. Should be the one to beat again today. Anne Sanguinetti rides back and should have near the front end.

#1 Sinawava (3/1) finished well but was behind the favorite last out. Expect to be closer to the pace today.

#4 American Royalty (7/2) is dropping in class for trainer Ellen Jackson. Could be competitive in this spot.

5-1-4

Race 2 – 8F CLM 12,500

#2 Just Classy (2/1) was a winner last out at this level. 2 wins in 5 starts on the tapeta.

#1 Charlie’s Belle (5/1) has consecutive 2nd place finishes including last out behind Just Classy. Alejandro Gomez should have this one rolling late.

#6 Augure (1-1) faced much tougher last out, making a class drop and in for the tag for the first time. Is the one to beat with Juan Hernandez aboard.

2-1-6

Race 3 – 5.5F CLM 16,000

#1 Argosy Fleet (9/2) should be sitting just off a hot pace under Catalino Martinez. Was a winner last out at this distance.

#5 My Friend Tony (2/1) is 5/9 on the tapeta. Has lots of speed but could have company up front from Cartoonist.

#3 Colormemomey (5/2) should also benefit if there is a pace duel up front. Frank Alvarado will try to make a late stretch run.

1-5-3

Race 4 – 8.5F OC 62,500

#4 Kiwi’s Dream (5/2) has been in the money all 5 starts at Golden Gate with 3 wins and 2 shows. Stretching out to two turns for the first time after racing on the turf at Santa Anita last out. Juan Hernandez rides.

#1 Arch Prince (9/5) comes in with 2 straight wins at this level. Will be tough to beat with Catalino Martinez aboard. 1st or 2nd in 6/7 starts at on the tapeta.

#5 Cupid’s Claws (7/2) has finished behind Arch Prince the last two starts. Could be around late.

4-1-5

Race 5 – 6F OC 40,000

#2 I’m a Rockette (2/1) won 3 races in a row before finishing 5th last out after a rough trip. Expect to bounce back with a clean run.

#5 She’s So Special (1-1) should take a lot of action at the windows and will be the one to beat shipping in from Southern California. This Peter Miller runner has been in the money 4/5 lifetime but has never run or trained on the tapeta.

#4 Smokin Hot Bobbie (4/1) comes back to Golden Gate after a disappointing run in the Cal Cup Oaks last out at Santa Anita. Won at this level two races back.

2-5-4

Race 6 – 5.5F CLM 12,500

#4 Carrie’s Success (9/5) comes in with back to back victories. Juan Hernandez is a perfect 3/3 riding. Should be rolling late.

#7 Cozze Kid (2/1) is making the 2nd start off the layoff and is dropping in class. Could be a good spot for this one.

#3 Dreaming About You (7/2) won at this level two races back. Cutting back from two turns to sprint.

4-7-3

Race 7 – 5F CLM 8,000

#5 Passing (1-1) will be tough for trainer Jonathan Wong and rider Juan Hernandez. Comes off an impressive victory in the first start at Golden Gate. Will be sent straight to the front.

#4 Bold Roman (6/1) last raced in April of 2019. 3/4 lifetime and comes in with a bullet work (1 of 19). Like the chances to fire fresh off the layoff.

5-4-2

Race 8 – 5.5F Maiden CLM 8,000
