Belmont Park Racing Analysis- Saturday, June 29 2019- by Spencer Luginbuhl

Race 1

4-2

#4 Red Right Hand: This gelding has a couple of races 2-3 back you can toss out due to a layoff and being on the wrong surface. Usually, a mid 70 wins and this horse has run that number 4 times and now comes third off the layoff. He has shown the speed early the last two times Jose was riding.

#2  Skywriting: Gets the leading rider Lezcano back in the saddle and his two best races come with him as the jockey not the best angle on an 8-5 but don’t leave off your ticket.

Race 2

2-4

#2 Gamblers Fallacy: The day Chad Brown and Irad Ortiz are the second choice to a horse that has Eric Cancel in the saddle I would be shocked if the morning line odds don’t flip. Two excellent tries at the level and now starts his four-year-old campaign. Needs to prove he can win on firm turf.

Race 3

6-3

#6 Daring disguise: Another Favorite but its days like this you try and grind it out. This three-year-old colt has improved since being moved to the grass and now gets a small stretch out and has also been improving her come home time 2 nice angles for me in these races.

Race 4

3

#3 Gleason: This Todd Pletcher runner has improved from 3 to 4 and ran in a massive Key Race last time out at GP with five next out winners. The drop in class is pretty, and he looks to roll over this field with back to back 80 Beyers in his last two. He won on debut and Pletcher is good with layoff runners this is a 3-5 I’m not going to try and beat.

Race 5

5-8

Race 6

2-3-5

#2 One Eyed Jack: The younger of Browns 2 FTS I love the 5F bullet work last time in training. Although both Ortiz Brothers do well on browns first-time starters, Jose hits with Brown 26% of the time with 66% hitting the board. This one is also the best price of my three contenders. Chads other firster is debuting at 4, and for me, that is a negative angle.

#3 Lion Dance: The horse to beat for sure usually every time a horse improves there  Beyer each race and are lightly raced unless they are a good horse the more races improving, the more likely a bounce will occur next time  I’m not one looking for a bounce/drop in Beyers until the bounce happens. One big negative is rider Manny Franco is in a slump only 1-15 last ten days with this being the favorite this angle of a cold jock does mean something for me.

#5 Performer: 2nd-time starter hit the board first time out and is debuting for his three-year-old season. He has a good sprinting Sire in Speightstown. Based on being off for a while, and this being only his second start, he could improve 10-15 points, which makes him a contender.

Race 7
