1 – 6 Furlongs. ™‘MC 40000 Purse $43,000 FOR MAIDENS, FILLIES THREE YEARS OLD FOALED IN NEW YORK STATE

1-8-5

Bustinmygroove drops to a maiden claimer level for the first time, and Gargan puts Lasix on her. She should be prominent from the start. First time starter Half Day Pam comes with a sharp last workout in a group in which no one has shown anything out of the ordinary. We can’t be surprised if she comes up winning first time out.  New York Banker is the one that can improve second time out, with blinkers on and Lasix. Watch out at 20-1.

2 – 6 Furlongs. Clm 12500 Purse $35,000 FOR FOUR YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD.

7-4-5

The two top picks are dropping dramatically and Supreme Aura gets benefited by what should be a very lively pace. Franco has been his main jockey and will ride him back from a long layoff, a very positive sign. Releasethethunder has been gelded for this race, aside of the sharp drop in class. Can’t be overlooked, but is being risked for half of what they paid for him. Abbaa is a Woodbine shipper returning to the dirt for the first time in almost two years. Looks interesting, although I would have preferred to see a last workout closer to this race.

3 – 7 Furlongs. ‘SayFLSndyB100K Say Florida Sandy S. Purse $100,000 FOR FOUR YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD FOALED IN NEW YORK STATE

1-3-4

Funny Guy has been dominant in these state bred mid sprints, and this race sets up nicely for him. Definitely the horse to beat. My Boy Tate just missed last time out against our top pick, with some improvement he can turn the tables. The one that is sort of a newcomer in these groups is Runningwithscissors, whose initial zip makes him dangerous, if they let him go at an easy pace.

4 – 6 Furlongs. ™‘MC 40000 Purse $43,000 FOR MAIDENS, FILLIES THREE YEARS OLD FOALED IN NEW YORK STATE

3-4-8

Tough maiden claimer here. Shesadirtydancer seems to be the controlling speed and now gets Lasix and a drop in class. Carmouche always very effective with speed type horses. Delaware Destiny is another one getting Lasix for the first time and she didn’t do bad in a similar group. Cancel repeats here for trainer Chris Englehart. Enter Sandwoman drops, gets blinkers now and Lasix, and is running second time out, always a positive angle. Don’t like that she was hammered at $230K and now gets risked for $40K.

5 – 6 Furlongs. ™‘Alw 72000n1x Purse $72,000 FOR FILLIES AND MARES FOUR YEARS OLD AND UPWARD FOALED IN NEW YORK STATE

3-1-2

Bill Mott sends Flush second time after a very lengthy layoff. In her return race, she was practically eased, but has two very good works in preparation, doesn’t drop in class and Lezcano, the Trainer’s preferred option, gets the mount. New York Rock Star is taking a bit of a drop in class after running versus open company at Parx. Mc Carthy gets the call for Jamie Ness. Violent Point can be the speed of the speed, and Carmouche just won with her last time out.

6 – 1 Mile. MC 40000 Purse $43,000 (UP TO $7,482 NYSBFOA) FOR MAIDENS, FOUR YEARS OLD AND UPWARD.

9-5-7

The fastest one of this bunch is Magic Mojo, and I expect Jose Lezcano to send him right out of the gate and take the lead, and from there on is catch me if you can. Returning from a three month break, he should be ready to fire. Reticent debuted at Parx and got a nice month and a half rest, returning with Lasix for trainer Jeremiah Englehart. Looks like a nice price to have. This I’ll Defend lost to my top pick about four months ago, with a lil improvement he can turn the tables.

7 – 6 Furlongs. Alw 50000s Purse $55,000 (UP TO $9,570 NYSBFOA) FOR FOUR YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD

2-9-10

The fact that Beaver Creek seems to still have good upside potential, with only three races in a group of veterans, gives him a touch of an edge in here. Lezcano will be stalking the pace, which should be pretty reasonable. Much Trouble returns to the main track after almost two years working nicely and the pace scenario here should benefit him. Jake Rocks completes the selection, with a very good outside post and he beat my top pick in a photo last time out.

8 – 6 Furlongs. ™‘OC 40000n2x Purse $74,000 FOR FILLIES AND MARES FOUR YEARS OLD AND UPWARD FOALED IN NEW YORK STATE

3-7-8

My Roxy Girl thrives in Aqueduct, with six of her eight lifetime wins coming in the Big A. We must draw a line to her last start, she stumbled badly out of the gate. Should be sitting in a garden spot position and come with her run late. Cancel still very hot. Ruvies in Time improved dramatically last time out, and with Manny Franco up, she is one to fear for a repeat effort. Miss Jimmy is extremely consistent, with 15 out of 17 starts either winning or placing. Mike Luzzi knows her well and the outside post is an important factor to take in consideration.

9 – 1 Mile. Clm 14000n3L Purse $28,000 FOR FOUR YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD WHICH HAVE NEVER WON THREE RACES.

7-4-1A

Mandatory Payout is a claim back for James Ryerson, an angle I always follow, and Lezcano, after a bad stumble in his last race, retains the mount, another positive sign. Don’t know if the 8-1 morning line will hold on, let’s see. Vitesse hasn’t faced this condition yet after clearing the NW of 2 in his most recent. Only five races lifetime, so he can still make forward strides and Vargas Jr. is riding well, although with some bad luck.
