Monmouth Park Racing Analysis — Sunday, September 22, 2019, by Neil Petrocelli

Race 1:  3 – 5 – 8

Lola’s Kisses – gets big points off the last.  3 yr. old lets her in condition – meets no world beaters.  Record over the track impresses – and the barn. Repeats. Postino’s Quest  comes off the maiden score, has been consistent – should get a piece. Box of Gold – takes a plunge for first dirt start – gets a piece off the drop.

Race 2:  3 – 1 – 5

Tough maiden special with some nicely bred ones – going with the Juddmonte firster for Brown – Aztec Empire.  Has been working consistently if not spectacularly – may be 2nd string – but may be good enough.  Sagaponack – ships in for Brown – ran OK in June debut – another with consistent works.  Fast Break will be tough to run down off the debut on the stretchout – pair up with Team Effort in exactas – just for kicks.

Race 3:  7 – 2 – 1

Compound It – may be a bit of a price, and may have real talent.  Good barn. Hopefully rates as there is lots of speed signed on. Find out more today.  Optic Way – points for consistency – Lopez climbs aboard will be tough to deny at short odds.  My Carrots – has talent, 2nd going long, saves ground and may close along the rail.

Race 4: 7 – 6 – 4

Prince James hails from a craft barn with distance breeding and a significant purchase price earlier this year.  Brother Brad – can’t leave a Brown off the ticket – has been working steadily since June….hmm…Darling Dario stretches out for start two off the mini reshening barn having a career year..

Race 5:  8 – 5 – 3

Dark Roast can stalk from this post – lots a speed can set this up for from just off the pace.  The Forty Factor and Anytime Anyplace look to speed pop this – and will be winging on the front end.

Race 6:  5 – 3 – 1

Kahramani may sit the outside trip.  Should enjoy the cutback in distance, if his move is timed right.  Barn stats at meet tough to ignore. Spring Up’s recent form is hard to ignore – 9 yr. old is really hitting it – with rising speed figs too.  Spin Cycle saves ground and closes up the rail.

Race 7:  6 – 1 – 4

Small Hope returns to Mth off a good Del. try – Juarez hops back on – should close stoutly.  Participation Cup should also be closing and should get a ground saving trip from the rail. Hope Again – Lopez climbs aboard one who was well meant when first arriving stateside – could take this.

Race 8:  11 – 10 – 1

Tough race – going with Remain Anonymous as demonstrated closing kick in the debut, and there are several there that look like speed.  Should be coming even with ground lost on the turn. Call on Mischief has the speed to get out and crossover – looks like she may sit a bit off pace.  Vast hand may be forced by the post – but should be formidable.

Race  9: 2 – 10 – 8

Bubbas Will – 2nd off the layoff – that was a tough spot for return (sprinting on grass) and should improve with return to dirt, to Mth, and j-bred company.  Irish Meadow will appreciate the outside, closing trip on the cutback. R Jolley Dreamer been consistently hitting the board with these – should again.

Race 10:  5 – 8 – 2

Karabessa opened up and tired late – Juarez stays can perhaps wire these.  Ghosting tough not to like, but claimed off Servis, that’s worrisome. Knight Tales makes 4th start today so not a confirmed loser, yet.  Should move up off the drop.
