Race 1:  MAIDEN SPECIAL WEIGHT $45,000:1 1/16 (Dirt )Picks:: 3-5-4
Augusta Moon (#3): Todd Pletcher’s first runner of the Monmouth meet is a live one. She stretches out to two turns for the first time. Trainer is 26% first time routing and 30% in 2nd career starts. Pedigree should love the added distance. Gets Joe Bravo aboard. Must use. 
Elegant Rose (#5): Comes to Monmouth off a long layoff and should be the pace setter. Trainer is 26% when over 60 days away and 32% shipping. Good works coming in and Jose Lezcano rides. Little pace and this could have a big chance. 
Daring (#4): Flopped in last race at Keeneland but comes in here with much easier company. Should get a fast track to run on and has good works coming in. Longshot chance. 

Race 2:  CLAIMING $7,500 – $6,500 Six FurlongsPicks: 2-1-3
Pointer (#2): Drops from $20,000 to $7,500 claimers today. Was second two weeks ago at Monmouth going on the lead. With little pace, he could do it again. Consistently high beyer numbers and trainer is 22% when dropping two classes. 
Change of Venue (#1): Drops to lowest level claimer of his career. Has the rail and the inside trip. Trainer is 20% in route to sprint races. Ships in from New York and should get much needed class relief. 

Race 3: ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING $25,0001 M
ile and 70 Yards (Dirt) Picks: 2-4-1
Gotham Gala (#2): Makes 2019 debut today. Trainer is 30% with horses off more than 90 days. Goes two turns for the first time and pedigree suggests she should run all day. Likely could go to the lead if sent early. Trevor McCarthy aboard. Must use. 
Tweeting (#4): Stakes performer comes to Monmouth where she has a win and a second in two starts. She has a win a this distance and will be upfront in the going. Question is will she get an easy lead, if so, she is dangerous. 
Horologist (#1): Won allowance race at Gulfstream in March. Gets Joe Bravo who was aboard for that last win. With the rail and speed to outside, she could sit off the pace and save ground. Won at Monmouth last August, good experience over the track. 

Race 4: CLAIMING $30,000 – $25,000 1 1/16 (Turf) Picks: 8-1-4
King Leo (#8): Makes second start with Kelly Breen today, trainer is 29% with horses second after the claim. Won at the $20,000 level two starts back. Can go to the lead or rate. Drops in class boosts chances. 
Federal Dominance (#1): Drops down to $30,000 claiming company, in the exacta in last two starts. Has faced tougher, and with the inside and speed, he can go the lead and never look back. Good jockey/ trainer combination. Must use. 
English Laughter (#4): Makes first start with new trainer, whose 21% with horses first time in barn. Ships up from Tampa Bay and has good shipping record. Longshot chance. 

Race 5: $75,000 John J. Reilly Handicap    Six Furlongs Picks:  7-6-2
Cozy Lover (#7): Ships in from Laurel Park, where the trainer is 26% shipping and 16% in non graded stakes races. Has faced much tougher and has solid beyer numbers. Has run well at Monmouth Park before and has speed. Very dangerous. 
Amatteroftime (#6): Jason Servis has this colt for the back in his barn. He is 37% with horses first time in barn. He has three wins and a second in four starts at Monmouth Park, expect this horse to be the pace setter and if not challenged, can keep going. 
Evil Monkey (#2): After poor showings at Laurel Park, this gelding ships back to Monmouth where he has hit the board in five of six starts. Will get a good pace up front to chase. Trevor McCarthy is aboard for the first time, big positive. Was 2nd in NJ Breeders Stakes last year. 

Race 6: CLAIMING $5,000 One Mile (Dirt) Picks: 1-8-5
Time for Quality (#1): This horse ships up from Maryland, trainer is 22% shipping. Has the rail and can win on the lead. Has a win and a second in two starts at Monmouth Park. Very consistent beyer numbers and should handle this class well. 
Malekith (#8): Three of his six wins have come at Monmouth Park. Will get a good pace to run at up front. Has better runs going two turns so should appreciate the distance today. 
Key Cheyne (#5): Ships in off a win at Delaware Park last time out. Has hit the board in five of six starts at this distance. Will likely one of the pacesetters and if he runs the same race like his last start, he can win. 

Race 7:  $75,000 Boiling Springs Stakes 1 1/16 (Turf) Picks: 1-5-11
Beautiful Lover (#1): Has won two in a row included an impressive win last time out at Aqueduct. Has the rail and will get a good setup from upfront. Joe Bravo is aboard today. Chad Brown is 28% shipping and 26% in non graded stakes races. This is a filly who looks like se has a big future, and this race will set her up for it. 
Ready to Tango (#5): Makes the switch to turf and goes two turns for the first time. Todd Pletcher is 26% first time routing and 22% in non graded stakes races. Won her last start going gate to wire and could do it again today. Pedigree suggests turf should be no problem. Good chance. 
Ellyb (#11): Won at Monmouth three weeks ago and beat some of the fillies back in here today. Will have to work out a trip from post 11. Trainer is 27% in non  graded stakes races and 23% with last out winners. Gets Trevor McCarthy back aboard after last win. Longshot chance. 

Race 8:  WAIVER CLAIMING $8,000 – $7,000 Six Furlongs Picks: 6-2-1
Malibu at Midnight (#6): Drops back to $8,000 level after unsuccessful attempts in higher company. Has good showing going this distance end should get a nice pace setup. Jockey is 21% on the meet. 
My Bernie (#2): Won two of his last four starts. Has a win at Monmouth Park and has turned in fast works. Ready to go today. 
Unruly Heir (#1): Two wins at Monmouth Park, indie post and with a good pace set up will be coming late. Jockey is 31% on the meet. 

Race 9: $150,000 G3 Salvator Mile One Mile Picks: 3-9-2
Diamond King (#3): In career best form right now. Won going this distance two back with a 100 beyer number. Was a game 2nd in Charles Town Classic, and now appears to be lone pace setter in this race. Has gotten better with age and has hit the board in four straight starts. Fast works coming in and distance is perfect for him. Must use. 
California Night (#9): Has won three of his last four start and is two for three at the distance. Mike Maker ships in and is 19% with last out winners. He has rounded into good form and will be among the leaders. A speed friendly track will help him. 
Sunny Ridge (#2): The highest earner of the field is two for four at Monmouth Park. Has earned the highest beyers among everyone in the field. Trainer is 18% in graded stakes races and is the class of the field. A good inside trip and first jump with help his chances. 

Race 10: ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING $12,500 Six Furlongs Picks: 1-5-2
Party on Prospect (#1): Winner of two of last three starts, this horse is in good form and appears to found a home at this level. Could be sent from the inside but can easily stalk. Good speed figures. 
Visionary Ruler (#5): Was 2nd behind Party on Prospect last time out, got into a speed duel last time that cost him the win. To get a win this time, he’ll have to slow the pace down and get a good position. Trainer is 18% first time after the claim. 
Smithwick’s Spice (#2): Makes first start in nine months and first time going this distance. Has been working well, could use a race back to get legs under him. 

Race 11: G2 $200,000 Monmouth Stakes 1 1/8 (Turf) Picks: 7-5-8
Synchrony (#7): Multiple graded stakes winner returns to Monmouth Park after two wins at the track last year. Class of the field. Gets class relief today and blinkers are coming off. He’s three for six at the distance. The tight turns play to his favor, and should get a nice pace up front. Must use. 
Irish Strait (#5): Comes off a win in the Henry S.Clark last time at Laurel Park. Ships up to track where he has four wins and earned $250,000 in career. Will be upfront early on, can control the pace. Keeps improving with every start. Good chance. 
Projected (#8): Lost a heartbreaker early in the meet. Hasn’t won in two years, but has hit the board in seven of last nine starts. Has a second and third in three starts at Monmouth Park. Will get pace to chase and be closing late. Can’t dismiss Chad Brown. 

Race 12: CLAIMING $25,000 – $20,000   Six FurlongsPicks: 3-6-5
Diva’s Revenge (#3): First or second in three straight starts. Jason Servis is 35% shipping and the one is the class of the field. Servis spots her right here. A loss would be a massive upset. 
Trimmed in Grey (#6): Second in three of last four starts. Distance suits her and class is perfect, the tight turns of Monmouth can help her too. Good works coming in and consistent as the come. 
True Prosperity (#5): Won at the $25,00 level two weeks ago at Monmouth Park. Will get pace to chase and winning over the track helps. 

Race 13: MAIDEN CLAIMING $30,000 – $25,0001 1/16 (Turf) Picks: 6-9-5
Air Attack (#6): Jason Servis goes turf for the first time for the son of Curlin. He is 31% with first time grass horses and 39% routing. Will have speed in here and pedigree suggests turf is no problem. Less company and in claimers makes this horse a must use. 
Shahkaar (#9): Drops from $50,000 to $30,000 claimers today. Will be on the lead here and if not challenged, will go a long way. Has good speed numbers and needed the class drop. 
Supervillian (#5): Drops to maiden claimers for the first time and goes in off layoff. Trainer is 23% when off 90 days or more and 31% going from maiden to maiden claimers. Faces less competition and gives horses best chance to win.
