Monmouth Park Racing Analysis — Saturday, July 6, 2019, by Jeff Byrnes

Race 1: CLAIMING $12,500 – $10,500  1 Mile & 70 Yards  Picks: 4-5-3
The Great Loudini (#4): Back to back exacta finishes and hit the board in three of four at the distance. Could be lone speed in here. Wilmer Garcia has this horse going in right direction. 
Rockford (#5): Winner last time out and moves up in class. Has beaten a couple in here before. Likes the Monmouth Park track. Must use. 
Wild Scat Blue (#3): Won last out by 11 lengths and is in good form coming in. Speed is good but will need a clean break and good trip to pull it off.

Race 2: MAIDEN SPECIAL WEIGHT $45,000    1 1/16 Miles  Picks: 3-1-2
Bellera (#3): Makes first start around two turns and first in four months. Todd Pletcher ships in and has at 27% when routing for first time. Pedigree suggest she should love the added distance. His beyer in career debut. Must use. 
Augusta Moon (#1): Second at Monmouth last out but gets good inside post and can save ground behind speed. Adds blinkers for the first time. Second start around two turns should be a boost. 
Trial and Error (#2): Goes two turns for the first time today and ships in from Belmont Park. Trainer is 31% routing for 1st time. Fast works coming and should be ready to go.

Race 3: $75,000 Irish War Cry Handicap  1 Mile (Turf) Picks: 4-2-3
Golden Brown (#4): Class of the field and won an NJ-Bred stakes race two weeks ago. Can go dirt and turf and will be a shocker if he loses. Must use. 
Regally Irish (#2): Drops into NJ-Bred company after facing open company entire career. Won four back going wire to wire and with little speed could be the pace setter. Needs a big effort to win. 
Lucky Balladier (#3): Makes second start off the layoff and has run well over the Monmouth turf course. Drop to NJ-Bred should be some class relief. Needs big effort to win.
Race 4: CLAIMING $8,000 Six Furlongs Picks: 6-7-1
Yourcreditisgood (#6): In the superfecta in four straight races. 0 for 2 on turf but faces much ;less company than in the past. Two is her game so with a good pace will be flying late. 
Luna Azteca (#7): Winner three back going wire to wire and in the top 3 in seven straight races. Speed of the field and drops in class today. Will be tough to catch. 
Fashion Break (#1): Winner last time out at the $5,000 level. Winner if three of six at Monmouth Park so loves the track. Inside post and short way around could be a big plus for her. 

Race 5: MAIDEN CLAIMING $40,000 – $30,000 1 1/16 Miles (Turf)  Picks: 3-1-5
City Fun (#3): Jonathan Thomas ships this one in from Belmont and faces less company today. Trainer is 26% with second time starters and 28% shipping. Should be sharper today and have more focus. 
Seeking Revenge (#1): Back at Monmouth with the rail and lower in class. This filly reunites with Jomar Torres who rode her to only placing in career. Trainer is 21% in maiden claimers. Short way around will help. 
Ms. Genuine (#5): Drops to maiden 30,000 today and returns to two turns. Will need speed infant to have a win ache but will be flying late. Trainer is 22% when sprinting to routing. 

Race 6:  MAIDEN CLAIMING $12,500 – $10,500 Six Furlongs  Picks: 3-8-5
Irish Orb makes career debut today but has been working well in the morning that deserves attention. Trainer is 10% in maiden claimers but gets Nik Juarez aboard. 
Flying Pleasantly (#8): Drops down 2 classes and gets a suspected field to face. Good closing speed and in a field with a likely fast pace. Good chance. 
Family Fortne (#5): Two straight seconds including one here at Monmouth last out. Good beyer numbers for a field like this. Trainer is 33% first after the claim.

 
Race 7:  CLAIMING $5,000 5 1/2 Furlongs Picks: 1-2-7
Took Over (#1): Inside post and the rail, this one has good speed and will use it with the shortest way around. Trainer is 18% with horses first time in the barn. 
Salt it Here (2): There of six wins have come at Monmouth Park. In the trifecta in four straight races. Has run well at the distance in the past. Inside speed and will need it to win. 
Judge Carr (#7): Three straight 3rd place finishes and has run well at Monmouth will need a pace meltdown to win. 

Race 8:  CLAIMING $12,500 – $10,500 5 1/2 Furlongs (Turf)  Picks: 8-6-2
The Forty Factor (#8): Winner of two of last three and has a win at Monmouth Park. Trainer is 40 when dropping class off win. Will be the speed of the field and could go a long way. 
One Eyed Ray (#6): In the money four out of six at Monmouth and will get pace to chase. Good closing kick could get it done. 
Snake Oil Charlie (#2): Drops in distance and class to try and get a placing. Inside post and speed in front could bring for as closing kick .


Race 9: ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING $12,500 Six Furlongs 
Picks: 2-6-4
Amazing Cat (#2): Winner at Monmouth last out by big margin and did it in style. Good works coming in and Jason Servis has his going in right direction. Could be on the lead again, if so, long day for others. 
Groovy Tale (#6): Only win came over this track. Will need to flash speed on the outside but has a win at this level last year. Tough task. 
Ogeechee (#4): Winner of four out of last five and stepping up today. Ships in where trainer is 15% shipping will be just off the pace and will be coming late. 

Race 10: ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING $16,000 1 Mile  Picks: 5-2-7
No Hayne No Hayne (#5): Ships in from Belmont Park. Steve Asmussen makes rare appearance over the track. He is 20% shipping. Good speed figures and faces less competition today. Must use. 
Port Liza (#2): Winner of four straight races and has a easy win at Monmouth two back. Has the speed and the class over the others Trainer is 50% when dropping in class off a win. Must use. 
Mo Moxie (#7): Kiaran McLaughlin ships from New York with this last out winner. He is 21% shipping. Outside post and has good gate speed. He runs to her last race, she can win. 

Race 11: MAIDEN CLAIMING $16,000 – $14,000 Picks: 3-1-8
