Race 1: Maiden Special Weight, One Mile (Turf), Two year old fillies
Picks: 9-3-8
Off turf: 16-6-3
She’s Divine (#9)- She’s Divine is the most consistent horse in the field, two starts, two second place finishes. Both those races came going shorter, and now she goes two turns for the first time. Trainer Tom Proctor is 20% routing and the filly comes in off a sharp workout last week. She has speed, must be quick out of the gate, class can get her home.
Community Watch (#3)- Filly makes turf debut after 4th place debut in which race came off the turf. Pedigree suggests turf will not be a problem, her dam, Home Rule. is a half sister to turf stakes winners Ironicus and On Leave. She will need pace, if she can get clean trip, she will be coming late.
Dah Philly (#8)- Filly makes her debut here. Soild turf pedigree with Gin Ponti on top, Orientate on the bottom. Solid jockey/ trainer combination. Filly has had nice works coming in and will be flying late.
Race 2: Claiming $16,000 – $14,000 1 1/16 (Turf)
Picks: 2-8-6

Stellar Trick (#2)- Stellar Trick has won two of her last five starts, and has finished in the superfecta in all five. Those five starts, however came around one turn. She makes her two turn debut today with an inside post. By Hat Trick (JPN), she should handle the distance. Trainer is 21% sprint to route. Clean, inside trip, she can win.
Baby Isabella (#8)- Ships in from Monmouth Park, where trainer is 19% shipping his horses. She was second last out in this level, but horses she is better than. Both jockey and trainer have had great meets. From the outside, she will be close and stalking the pace. Will get first run.
Thanks Mom (#6)- Never worse than second in his last four starts, however, only start at Laurel was off the board. From there, he drops from $25,000 optional claiming to $14,000. She will be mid pack, and come running late.
Race 3: Maiden Claiming $10,000 One mile
Picks: 6-3-2
Spooky Tooth (#6)- Spooky Truth is getting what his pedigree wants. One mile on dirt. After two turf sprints, this horse gets in the right spot here. Trainer is 21% shipping in and is 20% in maiden claiming races.He drops from $16,000 to $10,000, should get good pace to run at and close.
Our Anthem (#3)- May not have hit the board yet, but this horse may have finally found the right spot. Didn’t favor the slop last time, and one race before at Laurel was a $25,000 claimer, he drops to $10,000 here, good trip, fast track, Today might be his day.
Donna’s Delight (#2)- On the board in three straight, with inside post, he could be sent early. By controlling the pace, he can take them a long way. Gets a fast track, he runs to last race, he can be tough.
Race 4: Allowance Optional Claiming $50,000, One Mile Two year old fillies (Turf)
Picks: 6-7-2
OTT: 3-7-8
O’Malley (#6)- Comes off 4th place finish in the P.G Johnson at Saratoga behind Dogtag. One of two fillies in the field to win going two turns. Field is much different from Saratoga, and trainer is 18% with two year olds. She likely will go from the gate, so look for O’Malley to go to the front and possibly take them a long way.
Helen (#7)- Helen is going two turns for the first time, but her trainer is 32% first time routing. She comes in off a sharp 3rd in stake company last out. Solid turf pedigree as well, this one must not be left off any ticket.
No Mo Lady (#2)- Broke her maiden over the Laurel turf going short, now going two turns for the first time. Comes in off three straight 48 and change works. She is ready to run a big one. Pedigree suggest two turns will not be an issue, she is ready to fire best shot.
Race 5: Claiming $25,000 5 1/2 Furlongs (Turf)
Picks: 9-3-1
OTT: 13-3-2
Seize (#9): Seize won in allowance company at Churchill Downs last out. Now with trainer Jason Servis, who is 40% first time claiming and 30% 90 days away, he is ready to run. Has good gate speed, he gets a clean break, he can win.
Benefactor (#3): Drops in from $35,000 off a win at Saratoga, where trainer is 33% off wins. Also in case this are comes off the turf, he has been most consistent on dirt. Trainer is also 2 for 6 at this meet, when he ships, he means business.
The Zip Zip Man (#1): Comes in off a win at Suffolk Downs, has a win and a 3rd in two starts at Laurel Park. With a fast pace, expect this one to come running late.
Race 6: Claiming $16,000 – $14,000 1 1/16 Miles (Dirt)
Picks: 7-3-1
Emma’sdiamonddiva (#7): Filly drops from optional claiming ranks and is back in for $16,000. Her last win at Laurel came against $25,000 company. She has two 2nd’s and a 3rd in three starts at the distance. She gets the outside post and will be coming late.
Bodega Bay (#3): Filly won at the $16,000 oaks three starts back, but that was on turf. She drops back to these ranks off an allowance race last out. she reunites with Victor Carrasco and should be mid-pack, with a good pace, and if she can handle the dirt, she has a shot.
Avilles (#1): Got first career win at $16,000 level at Laurel Park. Has spent last couple races at Delaware, but before that, she was running in higher claiming company at Laurel. She gets the rail today, and with her speed can get the rail and set fractions.
Race 7: Allowance Optional Claiming $50,000 5 1/2 furlongs (Turf)
Picks: 8-4-3
OTT: 2-5-6
Contributing (#8): Back from a eight month layoff, where the trainer is 19% for horses racing after 90+days away. This filly has competed in stakes company in the past, and is 2 for 3 at Laurel Park. Outside post, she will have to go early to avoid being caught wide. Has the class to get it done.
Just Talkin (#4): Has competed against tougher company, last race was a throw out because of a bad trip. Has high beyers, including a 99 Beyer four starts back. Trainer is in the money over 50% this meet, has good speed, will be around at the end.
Dare to Be (#3): Back after four month layoff, where trainer is 22% off a long layoff. Gets one of the meets top riders in Victor Cassasco. She must get a good, clean break to have a chance.
Race 8: Claiming $8,000 1 1/16 (Turf)
Picks: 7-3-10
OTT: 1-7-8
Matador (#7)- Has finished in the top 2 in last four starts, and has run very well at Laurel Park. Won over the Laurel turf two back before a 2nd on dirt last out. Reunited with Daniel Centeno where he has a win and two seconds when he is aboard.
Jose Sea View (#3)- Returns to turf after a rough run on an off track last out. Trainer is 21% in 2nd race off the claim. Race has speed, so he will be closing fast.
Brickyard Kitten (#10): Horse is 4 for 5 at Laurel Park, has won three straight and four out of last five starts. This horse has taken a liking to the Laurel turf, and has spent his time beating horses at this rank. Horse is a must use on your ticket.
Race 9: Starter Optional Claiming $25,000 6 Furlongs
Picks: 6-1-8
Tambora (#6): Last two starts were on off tracks, has a win in lone fast track start. Has plenty of speed and ability to rate. Has faced and beaten some in here. Has highest beyer of any horse from last race. Must use.
Vineyard (#1): Broke maiden over fast track by 8 lengths, ran 87 beyer in 3rd place finish last out. Turned in sharp work last week. Inside gives him rail advantage.
To Blave (#8): Plenty of speed in front of him, off the pace style could be beneficial. Hasn’t won in a while, but with fast pace, can close and have a shot.
Race 10: Allowance $35,000 5 1/2 furlongs (Turf)
Picks: 8-5-4
OTT: 4-2-3
Go Magician Go (#8): Caught an off track last time and didn’t run well. Back on turf where she won or placed in three straight, he should improve. There is a lot of speed to the inside, she runs to her race three back, she can win. Also reunited with Fergal Lynch, whose last two wins have come with her aboard.
A Great Time (#5): In the money in three of four starts at Laurel, gets back on turf and drops in class relief. This is an ideal spot for this horse. has speed, if she can clear, she will be tough to catch.
Natural Notion: (#4): Last out, was 4th behind Chubby Star, returns to a distance he loves. Get the jockey he has most success with in Victor Carrasco. He can go to the front or rate, finished in the top 4 in six straight starts.
