Gulfstream Park Racing Analysis- Friday December 7, 2018- By David Pyrz

Gulfstream 12-7-18

1) 3-5-8-11…. # 3 The Dow- Hope this gelding continues to rise in figures and wins with the 3rd off
layoff. #5 Diamond Mint- on the stretch out and could take them a long way. # 8 Kikinboy- is a 1st timer in the Navrro barn which is a must use. # 11 Kellytough could run a good one at a nice
price.

2) 9-8-1-5…. # 9 Larceny- msw drop, j. Ortiz aboard, has faced the best company and trainer strikes at 30% on drop. # 8 Indy Rules- msw dropper and trainer strikes at 25%. # 1 Nairobi- 3rd off and back to 50k claimers where he ran ok this past summer. # 5 Bronzed- another msw dropper who
should be used.

3) 11-7-9-1…. # 11 Channel Surfing- Lots of speed in the race but he is perfectly drawn on the outside for a trainer that is firing on all cylinders and think he will relish the 1 turn mile. # 7 Schmiss- owned by fan fave Loooch racing stables should appreciate the drop and turf to dirt and run big. # 9 Song of Melody- drops in class for hot trainer, loves GP and the extra furlong should be no problem. # 1 Sara’s Day- claimed by Vitali stays at $6250 and likes GP.

4) 6…. # 6 Big Boy Bruno- might not be everyone’s single but he is one of mine today. Tons of speed in the race which I think sets up the race for him perfectly.

5) 4-6…. # 4 King Orb- msw drop for Linda Rice with Ortiz aboard. Has run faster and a repeat of any of his races will win this. # 6 Trouble Coffee- dropper who hits board a lot and has run some good races in Kentucky. He could win this if the top choice fails to fire.

6) 5-3-4….# 5 Aequor- has faced tough competition and has the right positional speed to be up close early and then fend off the closers late. # 3 Mac Jagger- did not like the muddy track in his last start and will fare better today. # 4 Articulator- 1 st time in the Navarro barn which means he
will be tough. Ran some good ones at CD and Oaklawn and if he transfers that form to GP he will be tough.

7) 7-6- (ALL)…. Toughest race of the day and I will be punching the ALL Button here for my late pick 4. # 7 Little Nicole- has run well off layoff’s and trainer wins at 23% with 46-90 days away. #6 Classic Act- could surprise with Luca Panici aboard.

8) 5-1-9…. # 5 Third Day- back at GP where he broke his maiden with a big fig. Lightly raced and very talented he should win. # 1 Breaking Lucky- can’t deny his class but he has run 2 duds at GP in the past but still if he shows up with his A game he will be tough. # 9 Imperative- another Loooch horse who has a ton of back class as well.

9) 9…. # 9 Goodthingstaketime- is another single for me on today’s card. Just lays over this field and this 7.5 furlong race is the perfect tuner for better and bigger races to come.

10) 2-13-7-5-3…. # 2 Seismic Jolt- Fawkes trained that they paid 800k for. Has a ton of speed and if the turf runs transfer to the dirt he will be very tough. # 13 Winning Drive- is Servis trained, drawn perfectly on the outside and going from open company to state bred ranks. # 7 He’s Smokin Hot, # 5 Beau Trace & # 3 Followhisfootsteps all come out of the same race and I think it was a pretty good race. All 3 of these can be used for various reasons.
