Race 3 is Leg D of the Stronach 5

Race 1 – 1 Mile CLM 11,500

#3 Silent Movies (9/2) has been running well lately, comes in with 2 wins in a row. Should be sitting just off the pace for leading rider Juan Hernandez. Jonathan Wong sends out #4 Kittens Royal (4/1) who will be towards the back of the pack early and making a late run. Had been a disappointing favorite in consecutive starts before scoring a victory last out. #2 Taelyn’s Prince (2/1) has been close racing against better, should be in a good position under Frank Alvarado.

3-4-2

Race 2 – 5.5F Maiden CLM 10,500

#7 Ivorian (3/1) has two straight runner up finishes. Has a good closing kick. Looking to break the maiden with Frank Alvarado. #1 Red Star (5/2) lacks early speed but has been running well lately. Closed steadily last out finishing behind Ivorian. #8 Second Bold (10/1) has some early pace, might get away from this field with a lack of speed. Like at a price.

7-1-8

Race 3 – 1 Mile CLM 10,000

#2 Kona Coast (3/1) set the pace last out and lost by just half a length. Billy Antongeorgi III could take them all way today. #7 Askin For Trouble (2/1) and Juan Hernandez are be the one to beat. Hernandez/Tamayo combo hitting at 39%. #1 Kid Arcade (7/2) has not shown much early in races but seems to always be around late.

2-7-1

Race 4 – 5.5F Maiden CLM 14,000

#1 Comic Style (4/1) broke slowly in the debut and closed for a show finish. Expect improvement second time out. #5 Gem State (5/2) has shown good early speed in previous starts and will be a deserving favorite. Could get away from this inexperienced field. Expect first time starter #6 Belham (7/2) to be ready under Catalino Martinez.

1-5-6

Race 5 – 5F CLM 11,000

#4 Passing (5/2) ships in from Southern California and has Juan Hernandez. Lots of early speed but may have company up front. #3 Monceros (4/1) could sit the perfect trip from off the pace. Look for a big run late. #7 Tim’s Buddy (7/2) is one that has good early speed and may be challenging the favorite up front. Coming off a show finish after breaking the maiden two back.

3-4-7

Race 6 – 1 Mile CLM 10,000

#2 Zippin Wine (5/2) set the pace and went all the way in a win last out. Expect to be sent from the inside post. #8 Aerial Decoy (7/2) has been in the money two straight. Should make a run late, Catalino Martinez on board. #7 Hardy Chisel (6/1) is stretching out to two turns. Showed speed last out sprinting, expect Duran to have this one in a good spot.

2-8-7

Race 7 – 6F CLM 11,500

Top pick #4 Hot’n Notty (5/1) has been running well with two straight 2nd place finishes following back to back wins. Expect to sit a good trip and be running late with Hugo Herrera. #7 Stone Groove (5/2) should be close up under Kevin Krigger. Coming off a show finish last out after weakening late. #2 Brotherciccio (2/1) had some trouble last out on the rail, expect Alvarado to have this one rolling late.

4-2-7

Race 8 – 1 Mile Starter Allowance 19,000

Richard Mandela sends out #8 Klondike Creek (8/5) with Juan Hernandez, set the pace last out and ended up with a solid 2nd place finish. Expect an improvement second time on the synthetic. #3 Electoral (2/1) finished behind the favorite last out. Give this Jonathan Wong runner a big shot. #2 Mad At Money (10/1) closed well for the win last out. Could be around late with a pace battle up front.

8-3-2

Race 9 – 1 Mile CLM 11,000

#3 Moonlight Blue (5/1) has been close up the last few starts. Expect to show good early speed and could get away from these. Look for #7 Unusually Green (2/1) late, coming off a win last out against similar competition. #5 The Ref (6/1) ran a solid 2nd last out, Silvio Amador should have this one in contention.
