Fairgrounds 2/7 with The Staggie Man

Race 1

3- Southern Wind (3/1) gets Geroux aboard and drops in class in which she will be sitting right behind the speed and make first run at the top of the stretch.

1-Sohni (10/1) 2nd off a long layoff, drops in class, rail has been hot at 22% could be sent early and try to wire this group at a price.

6- Lu Sea (5/2) closer from off the pace in a field that was weak last out in November will be closing late.

Race 2

6- Dixie Brees (9/2) will be stalking the pace sitting mid pack and come running to tackle the speed with the speed that is in this field.

3- Savvy Shipman (5/2) will be sitting the perfect trip inside behind the speed with Geroux, strong contender.

8- Kool Aid Girl (10/1) the closer, incase things get crazy up top she will be motoring at the top of the stretch.

Race 3

4- Boston Repo (7/5) ***The Best Bet of the Day*** best speed figures in this group, trainer is red hot and has tactical speed to work out a perfect trip.

2-Geauxcro (9/2) Hernandez aboard again after last win, steps up in class and will be sitting 4th or 5th on the rail looking for running room late.

5- Inspector Eddie (9/5) 3rd career start with Mena aboard, broke the maiden last out facing winners for the first time, but it’s a weak spot.

Race 4

2- Poppy Joe Rocks (8/1) Sharp/Beschizza combo, 2nd time on grass after a brutal trip last out in this class 4 wide on turns losing ground, gets post relief to save ground and come for the upset at a price.

1-Mr. Sarcastic (9/2)- Closer on the rail, will save ground on both turns and will be motoring late with James Graham for a piece.  The speed figures are trending up with every start, look for a good effort today.

10- Sarcillo (5/1) maybe the drop is what this horse needed as he finished well to finish 3rd against these last out, gets Murrill again and will get the same trip again flying late.

Race 5

6- Sweetest Appeal (3/1)- drops in class, 3rd off the layoff trainer hitting at 29%, and finished a good second against this group two back, a repeat of that performance its picture time!

7- City Candy (5/2)- Showed speed against 50k claimers last out and now drops for 30, will be on the lead and playing catch me if you can.

1-Scatrattleandroll (7/2) drops in class, rail is a hot at 22%, back to the dirt for the drop, Calhoun hitting at 24% with going from Maidens to Maiden claiming.

Race 6

8- Briar Jumper (10/1)- Horse has been flying late and just missing the last 3 starts, 4th off the layoff and now faces restricted 30k claimers, must include at a price!

1-Vincitore (7/2)- 2nd off the layoff, finished well to get 3rd last out and gets Geroux, trainer is red hot with 2nd off the layoff with 26%.  The one to beat!

3- Twist Off (6/1)- This one is interesting, tries grass 2 back and faces a respectable 4th behind similar, goes back to the dirt and doesn’t do much, now back to the turf and will be on our near the lead, Drops in class…

Race 7

9- Retirement Fund (5/1) Asmussen horse, which will be sitting right off the leaders in 3rd, and come pouncing home in the stretch.  Just destroyed a 30b claimer, now steps up to face tougher.

3- Casses Story (5/2) definitely the class of the field and the one to beat, but she had every chance to get by as the favorite last out and failed. Seems to me to be a hanger.

2- Higher Power (4/1) 3rd off the layoff for Stidham and the blinkers are coming off in which he is very successful at hitting at 21%.  Will be inside and saving all the ground.

Race 8

6- Havinfunyet (6/1) Horse has won 4 in a row and moves up and class and I think this horse can handle this group, will be sitting off the pace and come flying home with many others in here.

7- Ruffina (9/2) WOW, what a turn of foot last out in the maiden score, moves up to face winners now and will have to fly again for Brad Cox and Geroux which is of course red hot as always.

3- B’s Ten (6/1) will be on or near the lead and sitting a garden trip right off the speed and making first run on the many closers in this spot, must include.

Race 9

2- Cracker Jackson (7/2) LONE SPEED and will be on the engine early playing catch me if you can against this very soft group of maidens.

9- Mira (15/1) 3rd career start here and grabs Murrill again as they add blinkers to this horse, why not take a chance in this maiden 10 claimer.

5- Da Van Geaux (6/1) stretching out for the first time, showed some early speed should be interesting how this horse handles the stretch out.
