With very few beautiful fall days left, it looks like Sunday will be Sunny and around 50 degrees, we will
take it! I have baseball camp in the morning, but I will be playing the pick 6 carryover. I get it, it is tough.
But do your homework and understand how to win a Jackpot and with a 6-figure carryover, give yourself
a chance to win for $100! Took a while to handicap this card, I am hoping to get a run for my money.
There is a chance that they blow tomorrow up, handicapping this card there are very few plays that are
logical singles. I will be writing for the 6 pick 6 races, partially out of laziness, but no need to focus on
race that do not pertain to your wager.
Race 1: 1-5-9
Race 2: Pass
Race 3: 5-6-7
Race 4: 2-7
Race 5: 4-2-3
Race 6: 6-8-2
Race 7: 10-2-1
Race 8: 6-7-2
Race 9: 7-1-9
Race 10: 1-7-3
Race 5:
4 Border Crossing: If you toss that turf race last time, this horses first start was a strong foundation. In
pick 6s you have to find horses that will separate you from the pack and if this one improves off that first
race, he may run a big race. If he wins, he puts my pick 6 ticket into a short list of tickets and that’s what
its about.
2 Mine My time: This gelding has many knocks on his past performances, I get it. But that race 2 back
where he comes flying late, plays into the way this course has been playing. He has a very strong bullet
work October 29 th which hints he is sitting on a strong performance.
3 AP Royal: I get it this colt has a dirty past performance against tough also on the all-weather. His last
effort which was on the slop was a decent effort. No great, but a step forward, will come running off the
pace which looked strong Saturday, this too is a horse that could separate me from many in the pick 6.
Race 6: If the 13 and or 14 get in they can both be tough, and I will not leave them out in my pick 6 This
could very well be a race to spread in as the 1-2-3-5-6-7-8 all have a chance to improve and win this
race.
6 Temple Really took to the 2-turn race last time out but it could have also been the soft footing, he will
get a weird turf course on Sunday. It looked to be playing to those engaged in the pace. He showed a
huge improvement into his second start, if he can improve today for these low-profile connections, he
could find himself into the winner’s circle.
8 War Treaty Showed very little first out, but that is natural for Bill Mott, his horses usually improve with
time, and he comes out of a strong race and is bred all day for this! I do not like the fact he is installed at
3-1 morning line.
2 He’s the Souperwon This two-year-old was supposed to make his debut on the turf, it got rained off
and he ran a strong closing third place finish, this led the connection to try the dirt second start and he
showed nothing. They gave him 2-3 months away and have come back with a series off works to give
him a serious shot. He is a separator in the pick 6.
Race 7:
10 Smoke Monster: I love the name, we have something in common! But with the way the track was
playing, if Flo has horse under him turning for home, he should be able to close strongly on the outside. I
am not a fan of the 5-2 morning line or the fact that Flo or Brad Cox have not had much go well for them
this fall… well besides the freak Monomoy girl!
2 Rain Drop Kid I am looking for horses to separate me form the rest in the pick 6 and based off the
morning line and this horses recent company he will give me a chance to separate myself. But I like how
improved last time on the dirt albeit versus much less. At 20-1 this one could be one that out runs his
odds.
1 Trading Cash This horse has a few races here at Churchill, his most recent his set the fractions and
wilted late, if Ricardo, whom is my favorite Jockey on any circuit can deplay his tactic from his race in
June and sit off the pace then I think it gives this is one a strong chance breaking form the rail. He will
have the chance to save ground form the rain, but I think you want to be out in the middle of the track
running late.
Race 8:
6 Quick Quick Quick If you put a line through his 2 New York races, he is favorite. He very well may be
loading into the gate. If this one sit off the pace and makes one run he gives himself a good chance. He
has beat some strong horses and finished second behind Pray for Leslie who is a very classy filly in her
own right.
1 Shanghai Tariff She has not been seen since August. Her races from February to may were brilliant and
would give her a strong chance here. Jimmy Divito has a win here earlier in the week and this one has a
series of bullet works, albeit in company with a small sample. But nonetheless this one is coming into
this race on a strong effort.
2 Nineteenth Street She is a 4yo if you put a line through her last and look at her sample of tries over
this Churchill course, she fits the profile. She may look like she is rounding out of form, but I am willing
to forgive her last, this may be her last outing of this year, I am hoping for a strong showing as her
running tactics play into the play of this course.
Race 9 :
7 Cheeky Cherub She is third off the layoff, off of a much-improved effort 2 nd effort(Won at Keeneland).
If this one runs the same race or improves off that last effort, she will be tough. She is quite logical.
1 Take These Gains Is a homebred that as with Chad Brown last year, has not been seen since the June
of 2017. Her best race was on the soft going. Brad Cox has no problem getting them fresh to fire off the
layoff ad the trainer chance does not bother me one bit. My knock is the recent woes of Flo and Brad,
and the time off. Clearly there is a soundness issue but that work tab is a pretty one.
8 School Board Prez This horse has clearly been racing against inferior horses… But his try closing over
the yielding turf course in August is the best figure of his career. I would include him, he is another horse
that could separate your ticket from the pack.
Race 10
1 Igottawhiteface If you put a line through her last over the Sloppy course, go back to his race in July
and he runs a very strong Maiden race. Tomlinson has a 21% 2 nd off the layoff and a whopping %40
down 2 classes. He get is boy Rocco in the irons, and this one could be the nail in the coffin in wrapping
up the jackpot pick 6. Remember that why I wrote this!
7 Vyera If Van Berg continues he heat from Breeders cup this one could run a big race. He hasn’t been
see since June but if he has shown ability to run at first asking albeit his maiden race. This is more of a
hunch play than a play off the PPs.
3 Fairly Honest Has not been seen since May, but Grant Foster has is %13 and has a positive ROI with
these types. He drops significantly from MSW… it can be a concern especially given the layoff. But this
horses best race come at first asking albeit over a turf course… I hope he is ready to run for a barn that’s
been hot this fall!
