Belmont Park Racing Analysis — Friday, September 20, 2019, by Vinny Blond

Race 1: 3,5,2

Camorra is going out first off the claim for Rudy Rodriguez who I know has been cold this meet so far but she gets Saez in the irons who has been red hot.  I think she is the fastest of the early speed and if she can get out there alone early I think she will be tough to catch late. Would not single her though on multi race tickets.

Race 2: 7,2,6

Honey Graeme is one of those horses who I play every single time she runs and she rewards me more often than not.  She shipped to Monmouth Park last time and it went horribly so I am drawing a line through that race. Her last 2 races at Belmont have been very solid with a win and a narrow defeat, both with Jose in the irons who is back on her today.  Again I won’t single her based off that last race just in case but I will be playing her Win / Place.

Race 3: 4,2,3

I know City Man is going to be the favorite here but I will take this one as my best bet of the day.  I’ve had him in his 2 career starts and there was a nice improvement from his debut to his second start.  He has already beaten similar company easily and with Rosario back in the irons today I am not worried. He is my single on my early Multi Race tickets.

Race 4: 8,7,3

Getmotherarose is stretching back out to 6f today where her last two races at this distance have been wins here at Belmont Park.  She gets Jose in the irons who I think is a major improvement from Leparoux, especially in New York. If she runs how she has been running all 2019 she will be tough here.

Race 5: 5,2,1

There is a ton of early speed in here, so I am going with Classic Covey for Bill Mott.  I am not a huge fan of the cutback as he comes running late and his best races have been going longer, but with all the speed in here and Rosario riding I think he can get this one moving at the right time to run down the speed late.  His last race was a 2nd place finish to Breaking the Rules who would be a heavy favorite against this bunch.

Race 6: 7,5,3

I’m a sucker for these Godolphin homebred horses so I am going with Bell Court here.  She gets Saez riding who is having a solid Belmont and when teaming with Kiaran McLaughlin this year is 23% with a positive ROI.  The outside posts are never my favorite for first time starters so I won’t be singling here, but as far as outside posts go the 7 hole isn’t the worst spot.

Race 7: 3,1A,4

Since switching to the turf Noble Indy has looked like a different horse and with the class drop today I think today is the day we finally see this one back in the winners circle.  He gets Jose back in the irons who was on him his last 2 starts at Belmont where he finished 3rd and 2nd respectively.  Also I love the stretch out today to 1-1/8th which he will have no issue getting.

Race 8: 3,8,10

Again here I am not big on the cut back on the turf with Noble Emotion, but he showed enough early speed in his debut that I am will to look past it, especially with Jonathan Thomas’ stats.  He is 29% with maiden 2nd time starters, 34% in turf sprints, and a solid 36% with a $2.56 ROI going from routes to sprints.  He also is keeping Javier in the irons which I think is a good sign.

Good Luck and follow @PicksByDynasty for updates due to scratches and multi race plays.
