1 – 6 Furlongs. (Outer Turf) ‘Mdn 70k Purse $70,000 OUTER TURF FOR MAIDENS, TWO YEARS OLD FOALED IN NEW YORK STATE

6-11-9

Second time out for trainer Clement, Flintshire’s Rock showed some speed from the rail. He should be much fitter now, and Irad repeats on him. Probably will try to come from mid pack. Sonic Speed improved a lot when switched to the grass, and the outside post should allow him to see how the pace develops. Johnny V. again on him. Martinez needs a hot pace for his run to be effective, probably needs some more ground than the six panels.

2 – 6 Furlongs. Clm 14000n3L Purse $28,000 FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD WHICH HAVE NEVER WON THREE RACES

8-7-6

Daddy Knows goes second time off the layoff and now is under the preparation of trainer Rudy Rodriguez. With three works after his return, he should be much fitter now. Scorewhenhewants drops returns from an eight month rest dropping sharply from the allowance ranks. Questions arise about his condition, but class wise he is better than these. Caravadossi is another one who drops, this one from $35K to $14K. If a hot pace develops, his chances increase.

3 – 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) Mdn 80k Purse $80,000 (UP TO $13,920 NYSBFOA) FOR MAIDENS, TWO YEARS OLD.

6-10-1

Crew Dragon’s debut was good, something by which trainer Bill Mott is now known of. With some more ground to work with and with that race under his belt, he is very dangerous. Master of the Ring ran in a very speed favoring Keeneland turf course, and was closing ground. Much fitter now, he will be flying late. Risk Taking debuted on the dirt, and now Chad Brown switches him to the lawn. That alone speaks volumes, should be included in every play.

4 – 6 Furlongs. (Outer Turf) ‘Alw 72000n1x Purse $72,000 OUTER TURF FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD FOALED IN NEW YORK STATE

4-6-8

Very difficult race to analyze. Our Destiny seems to be the quickest in here, and with Joel Rosario we should expect him to be dictating the pace from the start. Wild William is also fleet footed, last time out he took advantage of a slow pace to win easily. Now he finds some more company up front, but can’t deny him the chance. Veterans Beach always gives a good account of himself, and the fact that Clement hasn’t dropped him yet is a sign of confidence.

5 – 7 Furlongs. Mdn 80k Purse $80,000 (UP TO $13,920 NYSBFOA) FOR MAIDENS, TWO YEARS OLD.

11-6-5

Solid debut for Kid Cash, losing to Nova Rags, who then ran in a stakes race. With Carmouche on the saddle, he will be forwardly placed from the gitgo. The Reds ran against Highly Motivated, who has won twice already, including a win in the BC undercard. Jose Ortiz is a vast improvement from Cancel. Momza had trouble at the start in his off the turf debut and almost caught the winner on the wire. Rosario keeps the mount and should make his presence feel late.

6 – 1 1/16 Mile. (Turf) Alw 82000n1x Purse $82,000 (UP TO $14,268 NYSBFOA) FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD

11-9-7

Another puzzling race. Scanno come from a very tough post, but switches to Jose Ortiz, and at 15/1, is an inviting proposition. Takes a good cutback from ten panels. Graded on a Curve keeps improving with each new race, now faces tougher opposition but his consistency makes him a very reliable play. Junkanoo is now on his third after nearly two years out, should be at his best shape now and Irad takes over.

7 – 6 Furlongs. ‘NotebookB100K Notebook S. Purse $100,000 FOR TWO-YEAR-OLDS FOALED IN NEW YORK STATE

5-7-1

Horn of Plenty won his debut and Atras hits at a 33% rate after a maiden win. Pace should be of his liking. Blue Gator won easily at Finger Lakes, now Maker pencils him here and should be stalking the pace setters from that outside post. Storm Shooter is improving and Pletcher readies his two year olds for stakes races. Watch out!

8 – 6 Furlongs. (Outer Turf) ™OC 62500n2x Purse $84,000 OUTER TURF (UP TO $14,616 NYSBFOA) FOR FILLIES AND MARES THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD

9-7-12

Bredenbury can have a pace advantage in this race, and she has been running against tougher competition. This group should fit her well. Storm Tornado was very disappointing in her most recent. As a matter of fact, she has burned money in her three US starts. By races, she is extremely live, let’s see what Irad can do different now on the cutback. Aunt Nadine won in an off the turf affair, now Maker puts her on the grass once again and should be prominent from the bell.

9 – 1 Mile. (Turf) ASchillerL100K Artie Schiller S. Purse $100,000 FOR THREE-YEAR-OLDS AND UPWARD

2-10-4

I expect Nik Juarez to be aggressive with Rinaldi from the start, sending him to the front and trying to take advantage of his superior speed. The mile should fit him to a tee. Therapist should be the horse to beat by looking just at past performances, it is interesting that Irad elected to go to Delaware over him, being Therapist a much more proven horse.

10 – 6 Furlongs. ‘Clm 25000 Purse $50,000 FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD FOALED IN NEW YORK STATE

12-11-6

Inscrutable race to end the card. Big Thicket drops to a much more comfortable level. The last time he ran against similar, he won easily. Jorge Vargas Jr. is a very good jockey. Just Right won easily last time out, now he will find much more speed opponents but Irad knows how to harness that speed. The Caretaker completes the selection, always fires at this level and should have pace to run.
