1 – 7 Furlongs. Mdn 80k Purse $80,000 (UP TO $13,920 NYSBFOA) FOR MAIDENS, TWO YEARS OLD.

8-7-6

Cost Average now has blinkers on for his second start lifetime for trainer Todd Pletcher and should be much better second time out, he ran against the very well regarded Highly Motivated. Weyburn has the experience factor on his side and he should be prominent from the start. Lezcano repeats again. First time starter King of Dreams apparently has the potential to make his debut a winning one. Hammered for 13X the stud’s fee and Avila scores at 18% in MSW company.

2 – 6 Furlongs. ™Clm 12500 Purse $35,000 FOR FILLIES AND MARES THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD.

8-4-6

Lune Lake is the speed of the speed in here. Finger Lakes shippers are to be taken with a grain of salt, but the group is so low in quality that she needs to be considered one of the top contenders.  Flat Awesome Jenny drops from 32K all the way to the bottom. She hasn’t been running good at all, so the drop in class seems logical. Rude Awakening won in a very similar group last time out, and should be following the early leader from not that far away. Good chance also.

3 – 6 Furlongs. ‘MC 25000 Purse $35,000 FOR MAIDENS, THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD FOALED IN NEW YORK STATE

4-2-10

Moonshine Maker just missed last time out in this same maiden claiming condition, and Kelly Breen scores at 30% with a beaten fave. Lezcano has been riding well lately. Posse Can Disco improved dramatically second time out, but wasn’t able to withstand the late charge of the winner. The group is equally as bad, so with any improvement he will be right there at the end.  Judge Alexander its interesting, as that last race in the mud was in a race taken off the grass. Ortiz rides again after two bad performances.

4 – 1 1/8 Mile. Remsen-G2 Remsen S. Grade II. Purse $150,000 FOR TWO YEAR OLDS.

3-1-5

Brooklyn Strong won last time out in a state bred stakes, and the horse that he beat just won a stakes right after. Joel Rosario takes over the mount. Pickin Time was much the best in the Grade III Nashua. Maybe he has peaked already, but he looked very impressive winning. Ten for Ten is the fastest here. The nine panels are probably too much for him, but with an easy lead, he can stay the whole trip.

5 – 6 Furlongs. ™‘Mdn 70k Purse $70,000 FOR MAIDENS, FILLIES TWO YEARS OLD FOALED IN NEW YORK STATE

4-5-6

Our First ran much better than he was expected too in his debut, now gets Lezcano and with a race under her belt, at 10-1 is a nice risk to take. Summer Brew should be the favorite by her races, but she has left some money on the table already, not reliable at all. La Urbana will complete the selection, needs some improvement but Rosario stays up.

6 – 1 Mile. ™GoFrWndH-G3 Go for Wand H. Grade III. Purse $100,000 A HANDICAP FOR FILLIES AND MARES THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD.

3-1-2

Sharp Starr is in an improvement pattern and seems to be ready to try graded company once again. The mile fits her to a tee and Jose Ortiz is slowly getting back into form. Nonna Madeline has been somewhat disappointing over her last two graded tries, but Johnny V returns to her saddle and the cutback to a mile should help her get back into form. Portal Creek is dangerous if she is able to get an easy lead.

7 – 6 Furlongs. (Outer Turf) ™Alw 82000n1x Purse $82,000 OUTER TURF (UP TO $14,268 NYSBFOA) FOR FILLIES AND MARES THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD

10-6-4

Fetching had some trouble in her most recent, losing to the very sharp Robin Sparkles. That one is not here today, so she will feel much more comfortable and will be a tough beat. Mrs S. tries the grass for the first time since January, and she didn’t do bad at all in that lone try. Joel and the turf can be what the doctor ordered for her getting back into form. Madam Mc Lean returns to the grass, in which she has perform way better. Don’t be surprised if she takes this field wire to wire.

8 – 1 Mile. ™‘Alw 72000n1x Purse $72,000 FOR FILLIES AND MARES THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD FOALED IN NEW YORK STATE

2-14-5

Wasp ran up the core in her maiden win. Anything close to that they will be running for the place and minor awards. Johnny V. takes over. Blichton Lady lost by a mile last time out, but the winner is running today in this same card in a Grade III. There isn’t anything close to that in here, so she should run much better. Timeless Journey tries the dirt for trainer Clement, and Rosario, his go to guy, gets in her saddle. Watch out.

9 – 11/8  Mile. ™Demoisel-G2 Demoiselle S. Grade II. Purse $150,000 FOR FILLIES TWO YEARS OLD

1-5-3

Malathaat is showing some very positive signs with only two races lifetime. There is more speed to go with her now, but I don’t think she is a need the lead type of filly. Johnny V. and Pletcher again, the game’s most potent combo ever. Dollar Mountain can be the big upset in here. At 12-1, after destroying the field in her maiden score, they are taking the aggressive approach to send her in a Grade II. Weaver gave her ample time to recover, and I think we have not seen the best of her yet. Millefeuille was another impressive winner last time out, with some more improvement she can score here, with Joel up.

10 – 1 Mile. CigarMiH-G1 Cigar Mile H. Grade I. Purse $250,000 A HANDICAP FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD.

6-1-4

I like that connections of King Guillermo are sending him to this prestigious race after his Triple Crown woes. The mile should be right up his alley and the group is not Grade I quality. Performer has five wins in a row and will be the probable favorite. Most probably will see him stalking the early leaders, but don’t be surprised if Rosario takes it to this field from the start. Firenze Fore drops from facing much better horses. The mile is not his best trip, but against these horses, he needs to be taken into consideration.
