Race 1: 4,5,2
Rapido Gatta is 0-5 and is now 1-2 morning line?! I will use this horse defensivly on multi race tickets, but I think this is too short of a price for a horse who is 0-5 and has been camera shy. I landed on Pharaoh’s Daughter for McLaughlin who is a first-time starter. She has a solid pedigree and gets Saez in the irons for her debut. If she goes off 2nd choice here I think she is the value.
Race 2: 4,2,7
London House is coming off a 4th place finish at Belmont but is getting back to Aqueduct where he has run his last 2 races. He gets Manny Franco in the irons so he should probably be the favorite but not a favorite I want to go against. Ari’s Naughty Luca is one of those horses who has the potential to run huge and at 6-1 I would use this one in your exotic wagers.
Race 3: 3,4,7
Linda Rice is one of the best claiming trainers in the game and to see her runner Bow Maker at 6-1 ML with Lezcano in the irons I am willing to take a shot with this one. Always a Queen looks tough here but TAP’s runners in spots like this have not been overachieving, so I am willing to take a small stand against. As a long shot here, I like Lil Morning Star with Declan Carroll in the irons who has been riding very solid over the past month considering the mounts he has been getting. At 20-1 ML I will use this one underneath.
Race 4: 1,7,3
Five Star Bunt is one of those horses who I am usually against and usually ends up busting my tickets but today with Rosario in the irons I am taking him on top. He does only have 1 win this year in 8 starts but it was last time out and was against lesser, but his speed figures have been consistent so I think he can repeat the effort again today with Rosario. Leaky Cup I am using on my tickets as he is another one who has been very consistent and with Johnny V I’m not willing to lose to this one in multi race wagers.
Race 5: 1,4,12
Moral Reasoning ran well in debut and if she improves off that race she is the one to beat. She gets Javier in the irons today and while I am not a fan of the rail draw, I think she can overcome it. I know Strike Magic didn’t do much running in debut, but I think this is one of those horses who can take a major step forward 2nd time out for Mark Hennig. Using this one underneath of my exotic wagers.
Race 6: 7,6,5
Yes it has not been the best year for Life in Shambles but I am sticking with him today. He gets Lezcano and Jason Servis has been too good this year to rule out. I am completely against Earned Success for Chad Brown so if this one beats me, he beats me. I can’t take a short price on a Chad Brown runner on the turf at this level. At a price I am going to include Full Salute on my tickets with Saez in the irons. I think this one can get a good trip here more towards the outside.
Race 7: 5,6,4
Doups Point is one of those horses who always shows up and sometimes it is good enough to win and sometimes he has to settle for 2nd or 3rd. He is coming off a 3rd place finish but his lone race at Aqueduct was a 2nd place finish in a stake race back in November of 2018. He is also getting Rosario in the irons who I think fits this horse well.
Race 8: 5,1,7
Kitten’s Cat is coming in off two solid races at Kentucky Downs for Michael Maker and today with Javier in the irons I think this one fits. The 1 entry with Fig Jelly looks tough but very camera shy so at a short price I will try to beat them on top. I would use both in my multi race wagers. If the 14 draws in I would add this one as well with Jose Ortiz on the outside.
Race 9: 10,2,7
Days of Spring goes out for TAP who has been having a much better year on the turf in my opinion than the dirt. At this 1-1/16th distance I am okay with the 10 post, especially if Saez can get him out early like I think he will. If he can enter the first turn only a length or two back of the leaders I think he will have a prime trip to win here.
