Race 1
(4) Perp – Drew the 10 post in most recent race at Tampa, the 1 Mile 40 yard races here have a short run to the first turn and he was caught a good 6-7 wide into first turn, was wide through second turn also and was probably 10 wide top of stretch, in a competitive race should be a decent price.
(3) LIttle Leo – In a race that lacks speed, should get a nice stalking trip, three of four wins have came at Tampa.
(5) The Wayne Factor – Has been a consistent runner just hasn’t found the winners circle often lately, another one that had a very wide trip in last.
Race 2
(4) He Iz Gone – Juan Arriagada has put up some good numbers in his first couple years as a trainer. He has one winner with four tries with fist time starters but also three of the four finished in the money. This one looks to be training well and gets Camacho.
(1) King Daddio – O’Connell has big stats with first time starters and they get even better at Tampa with 24% winners first time out. Kantharos has produced several fast runners, will be the first to race out of the dam.
(7) McBride – Not crazy about any of the ones in here with experience so will go with another first time starter Thomas is 33% with firsters at Tampa, 6 for 18. Maybe a few issues with this one along the way, several breaks in the works.
Race 3
(6) Fat N Bitter – Second off of a three.month break, now returns to probably her better surface and shortens up. Thought enough of her to try a stakes race after debuting with a second in MSW.
(1) Suzie’ssteppinout – Tries same conditions as last where she chased the pace three wide, finished up well to get second.
(5) Klaudias Warrior – Flashed some decent speed in last and adds blinkers today, might find herself on the lead with a clean break.
Race 4
(8) Alexbabe – In what looks to be a wide open race to me I am going to take a shot here with this filly who is 15/1 ML, has a decent amount of speed to stay close to lead with this group and will definitely be a big price.
(9) Conquest Valkyrie – Taking another drop and is probably the horse to beat here, had 12 chances though so far and still a maiden, barn has been cold this meet.
(7) Hechicera – I don’t think this five year old is good enough to win but at 20/1 a horse I would try to get in the tris or supers.
Race 5
(7) Money Broker – Third race back after a five month layoff, previous two efforts were decent, now shows a bullet work and has races in his past that are good enough to win at this level, lone win was at this distance.
(10) Early Deligh – Lightly raced four year old seems to be improving and should fit nicely with these off that maiden win.
(9) Smash Williams – Big purchase price seems to be going the wrong way, hasn’t shown much speed recently but should be closing late.
Race 6
(6) Sunset Empire – Consistent filly also picks up Camacho, will be a short price here but looks a little too fast for these.
(10) Theorem – Bumped around a little at the start last time, is fast enough to give the top choice some competition with a cleaner trip.
(4) Piki Piki Girl – Ran one of her best races last time with the trainer switch, now adds blinkers. One of her only two victories came at Tampa.
Race 7
(7) Trade Agreement – ½ to Switzerland who earned 447k sprinting, by Will Take Charge who earned most of his money routing on dirt. Long work tab, Stidham usually brings them out ready to run.
(1) Surf – Gainesway homebred has been working well, is a full to Zing Zang. Thomas is 16% with first time starters
(3) On Key – Should like the extra distance today, shows a nice work at Tampa after the last.
Race 8
(2) Betting On Red – Should get a nice stalking trip here from the inside position, takes a slight drop in class in what looks to be a competitive wide open race..
(1) Heart In Hand – Last was poor but takes a little drop and has recent races that makes him a threat in here.
(3) Japonski – Hasn’t found the winners circle in a while, has finished second or third in half his races..
Race 9
(4) Wild Scat Blue – Looks like the shortest price of the day, in good form and just too fast for these
(5) So Sublime – This 4 year old ran some nice races in the fall, took a little time off after the poor turf try then had some trouble at the start in his return race, should be better today.
(1) The Curt Fox – Consistent runner who likes to win, just might not be fast enough to beat this group.
Race 10
(1) Solid – Most in here are coming off some type of a layoff or are a first time starter, if he comes back anything close to his previous efforts will be tough against this field, will probably be another very short price.
(8) Dove Shoot – 5 year old with only two starts but ran well in his debut at Belmont.
(9) Hard Worker– Has been inconsistent but some of the better races have come on turf, switches to a trainer still looking for his first win.
