This is a quality stakes race with all entries having run on the All-Weather here t Woodbine, which helps take the “will he like the AW track” question out of the equation.
#1 Lucky Curlin – Stepping up into stakes company for the first time, he ran huge late last out here at Woodbine. This horse has potential and the pace seems to be one which may set up well for him today. Kimura and Casse have teamed up to a tune of 21% winners.
#2 Glorious Tribute – Has a couple of stakes races under his belt and has been improving each race. I think he can get up for exotics, but likely doesn’t have the speed to win unless he shows a big jump.
#3 Lookinatamiracle – Ran third in a G3 after his maiden win, and has consistently raced well. Likely to be forgotten at the tote, and should have pace to run into. A sneaky contender.
#4 Dotted Line – Has competed well in restricted stakes, but faces tougher ones here. I don’t like his chances to hang with the speeds in this race and see an early run with a fade.
#5 Perfect Revenge – This looks like too much of a step up for this horse today. Revenge will have to wait for another time.
#6 Untitled – This is the horse to beat in my opinion. He has run against better quality horses and handled the surface in the tune up for this race. Casse chose Wilson for the mount who really knows this track, and I like this choice. Distance wise it might be at the limits for this one, and that is my biggest concern.
#7 Shir’s Speight – Scored a fantastic maiden win on the turf here in front running style. Has handled the surface well in workouts. I think this one needs to prove he can run with high quality in a route before giving the nod. Looks like an overbet favorite possibility.
Will be an interesting race, where I think Casse has the winner. I prefer #6 Untitled over #1 Lucky Curlin, but no doubt the latter will be trying to run down his stablemate late who should sit just behind #4 and #7. #3 Lookinatamiracle is my third choice with a shot at a mini miracle.
