Rain over the weekend brings muddy track to Laurel Park. Handicapped based on sloppy track record and class. Good luck!

Race 1: MAIDEN CLAIMING $25,000 Seven FurlongsPicks: 5-6-2
Star Seeded Child (#5): Second at this level last time out, this filly has speed and consistency. Trainer is 28% as the beaten favorite and a great jockey/trainer combination. This horse gets to the lead, look out.
Nevisian Sunset (#6): Consistent beyer numbers and good pace in front of her helps her chances. Trainer is 14% second time after the claim. She knows he competition well.
Bash (#2): Just missed by a nose last time at this level and gets an extra furlong today. Solid work pattern coming in and if track is sloppy, has a good off track record.

Race 2 :  ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING $50,000   One Mile Picks: 1-4-2
Tightly Twisted (#1): Comes off a win in a sloppy maiden race by open lengths. This filly has good gate speed and with a small field should get in front. Trainer is 27% in route races and has a good pattern of works. Must use.
Secret Zar (#4): Stretches out to the mile distance her pedigree needs. She has solid beyer numbers and has overcome adversity to win. Trainer is 17% in sprint to routes.
Wicked Awesome (#2): Lost all chance after a stumble at the gate. One mile should be a perfect distance for this mare and pedigree suggest she should handle off track. Worth a second chance.

Race 3: MAIDEN CLAIMING $10,000       Six Furlongs Picks: 6-7-4
Fix Me a Sandwich (#6): Drops from $40,000 to $10,000 claiming level and has experience over the off track. Trainer is 24% in maiden claiming and 17% when dropping two classes. Has speed and will be tough.
Ice Docket (#7): Was 3rd at this level in lone start and gets an extra half furlong today. Trainer is 18% in sprints ad a good jockey/ trainer combination.
Top Hat Tune (#4): Drops to the lowest level of his career and will get pace up front. Has an offtrack pedigree. Longshot look.

Race 4: MAIDEN CLAIMING $10,000      One MilePicks: 2-6-4
Lovely Games (#2): Drops to the lowest level of his career and has run well on a sloppy track in the past. This horse has speed and consistent beyers. Must use.
Gio Lemon (#6): Ran well going two turns but cuts back to oe turn today. Lost all chance when stumbling at the start two back. Good workouts and jockey/trainer combination. Likely to improve.
Escrow Finnidilly (#4): Ran best race of his career last time out. He was loose on the lead and if no one goes early he can go again, has a lot of fight in him, longshot look.

Race 5: CLAIMING $8,000  1 1/16 (Dirt)Picks: 6-2-10
Doinwhatshelikes (#6): This horse has eight straight races in the superfecta, with two wins in there. She has great experience over a muddy track and will come from mid pack. Good work pattern coming in, she could be in line for a surprise.
Bad Nana (#2): Drops to the lowest claiming level of her career and post consistent beyer speed figures. She has been in the superfecta in nine of her last ten races. Trainer is 19% in dirt races, must use.
Miss Nosy (#10): Leading trainer drops this mare in class and has the outside post. She has plenty of speed and she will have to use it. Trainer is 26% in claiming races this meet.

Race 6: CLAIMING $12,500 – $10,500    Six Furlongs Picks: 7-2-1
A True Gentleman (#7): Leading rider and trainer team up with this gelding. Trainer is 33% with horses second time in the barn. Dropping in class and not a lot of pace will give this horse a great chance to win.
Port Louis (#2): Won at the $5,000 level two starts ago and no goes to $12,500. Trevor McCarthy was aboard for his win and jumps back on today. Good record on an off track.
Reggie’s Buddy (#1): Ships into Laurel Park and draws the rail. Trainer is 20% when shipping horses and 21% when second off the layoff. Good speed and good work pattern.

Race 7: STARTER OPTIONAL CLAIMING $25,000   Six Furlongs Picks: 5-7-6
Calculated Thinkin (#5): First or second in last three races. Trainer is 25% in dirt starts and 32% as the beaten favorite. Posted a strong 88 beyer last start and could improve.
Glengar (#7): Won a $25,000 maiden claimer last start and is now in Claudio Gonzalez’s barn. He is 32% with horses first after the claim. There should be a good pace for him to run at.
Godlovesasinner (#6): Good work patter, drops in class, and gets a good rider in Sheldon Russell. Longshot look.

Race 8: STARTER ALLOWANCE $8,000    5 1/2 Furlongs Picks: 7-5-6
Draxhall Woods (#7): Ships in from Monmouth Park and has good off track experience. He comes from off the pace, and has been in the money in five of his last six races.Wide open field, good consistent horse could be an upset.
Saratoga Wildcat (#5): Has hit the superfecta in ten straight races, and has three seconds in last four races. This hors brings good speed figures and is a model of consistency. Good record on an off track.
Stone Bandit (#6): The likely speed horse where each of his last three wins have all come wire to wire. On elf those wins come on a sloppy track. He will be flying early and try to hold on late.

Race 9: MAIDEN CLAIMING $10,000   One Mile Picks: 2-6-5
Arkadag (#2): Drops from $25,000 to $10,000 level today and gets Victor Carrasco aboard. This horse was facing tougher in Kentucky and drops to new low. Good pace that he can run into.
Stevie’s Joy (#6): Was second in the slop last time at Laurel. Good jockey/trainer combination and trainer is 13% in sprint to routes. Good workout pattern and looks ready to run.
Col. North (#5): Was second at the level last time out and drops back to one turn mile today. This horse could change tactics and go to the front, if so, could be dangerous.
