Gulfstream Park Racing Analysis- Friday, January 11, 2019- By David Pyrz

                                                        Gulfstream 1-11-19

  1. 1…. #1 Vincero– Is a single to start off the day. 2-2 at the distance, beaten fave last race and will be super tough from the rail for Navarro.
  2. 1-7…. #1 Eyeinthesky- tons of trouble in last start but if he runs as fast he can crush these. #7 Towa– came out of same race as top choice and speed on the outside might give him the advantage over others.
  3. 3-4…. #3 Miss Helen- turf to dirt, 3rd off and likes GP. Best race can win this. #4 Aurora Princess- dropping in class and been off 6 months but if ready and runs a race from the spring would be tough to beat.
  4. 5-1….. #5 Joy of Treasure- Drop, 1st Lasix been off 7 months but good works & J. Ortiz aboard with a trainer who strikes at 24% 1st time horse runs for him. #1 Chilled Milk- been a consistent runner and trainer is better than numbers show.
  5. Bad race and a Pass for me.
  6. 3-4…. #3 Really Proud- has shown she can handle the GP turf and distance which will make her tough to deny with the hot Irad Ortiz aboard. #4 Length- It could be an Ortiz exacta here if this one takes to the GP turf. Race at Toga this summer shows it can win here.
  7. 8-6…. #8 Midnightonbroadway- I expect a really fast pace in this race and this runner to revert to old closing tactics from the outside to win at a very nice price. #6 Jacks a Warrior- should be flying early and maybe he takes them all the way. The trainer with a small sample always has them ready as his starters hit the board 73% of the time. A must use.
  8. 5-2…. #5 Mineralogy- Dropping and has faced much better. Can shock at a price. #2 Amelias Wild Ride- is the old class of the race. Been running ok and any improvement or a race from the past can win this.
  9. 7…. #7 Mr Joshua is another single. Has the speed to control and run this field into the ground. Jockey will send hard and hope to wire.
  10. 3-8-12-5…. Teryn It Up- Drops msw-maiden claimer where trainer wins at 30%.J. Ortiz aboard. #8 A I Initiative- by a great turfer Artie Schiller has 2 races in NY that were ok and Patrick Reynolds hits 48%  in the $ for 1st claim. #12 Gambit- trys turf for 1st time and faced way better on the dirt. If he runs as fast on the grass as the dirt he will be tough. #5 Max Q- finally gets on turf and Arnold wins with a big price from time to time. Just might surprise.

Good Luck to All
