Golden Gate 5/22/20

Race 1 – 1 Mile MC 5,000

#4 Bank of Many (9/5) stretches back out to a mile after closing for 2nd at 5F last out, finishing ahead of Rebel at Heart by about a length. This Ellen Jackson runner is 0/15 but today could be the day.

#5 Rebel At Heart (4/1) had four consecutive 2nd place finishes to start the career but has not hit the board in the last 5 starts. Tries two turns for the first time.

#6 Sweet Chayane (2/1) closed well for 2nd last out at this level.

4-5-6

Race 2 – 5F CLM 3,200

#6 Secretly Paranoid (3/1) drops in class after closing late for 3rd last out for trainer Ellen Jackson. Could have a good pace to chase up front.

#1 She’s In Luck (7/5) has good early speed. Could have company in #2 Tiz a Rule up front

#3 Sadie Sue (7/2) drops in class and makes the 2nd start at Golden Gate off the layoff for trainer Blaine Wright.

6-1-3

Race 3 – 5.5F CLM 3,200

#6 Tizfit (3/1) is sent out for trainer Bill Delia. This 10 year old has 9 wins and 19 in the money finishes on the all-weather track. Should be sitting just off the pace.

#1 Office Chicks (5/2) has shown speed going two turns. Has not raced since late 2019.

#4 Cattering (2/1) drops in class today. Was close up before weakening last out.

6-1-4

Race 4 – 5.5F CLM 3,200

#6 Sierra Dance (5/1) won at this level last out. Has good early speed, should be close to the pace. David C Lopez rides back.

#3 Lil’ Chieftain (5/2) should not be too far back early. Desormeaux was aboard and won at this level three races back.

#7 If I Had a Nickel (3/1) has not raced since last summer. Reid France drops in class and Juan Hernandez up. Was not in good form before the layoff but has been working well.

6-3-7

Race 5 – 5F (Turf) ALW

#3 Amber Louise (Even) has as many wins on the turf (5) as the rest of the field combined. Frank Alvarado is very familiar with this horse winning 4 races together last year. Will be tough to beat.

#4 Amba (2/1) comes in with back to back 2nd place finishes on this turf course but has not raced since November 2019. Should be rolling late.

#2 Brite Echo (9/2) has good early speed in a field lacking early pace. Could be alone up front.

3-4-2

Race 6 – 5.5F CLM 6,250

#3 Spicy Perfection (2/1) was an impressive maiden winner last out for Jonathan Wong going wire to wire. #7 Perfect Sale also has speed, but Spicy Perfection should be quicker early.

#2 Trouble N Paradise (5/2) broke the maiden two starts back from off the pace, could get a good set up again today. Kyle Frey rides for the first time.

#1 Emma’s a Beast (7/2) drops in class gets leading rider Juan Hernandez. Should not be too far off the pace.

3-2-1

Race 7 – 5.5F ALW 50,000

#2 Sadie Bluegrass (7/5) is sent out for trainer Jonathan Wong. Has very good early speed and could be long gone up front.

#1 Violent Speed (9/2) ships in for Doug O’Neill after racing at Oaklawn last out. Closed late for 4th after trailing early. Juan Hernandez should have this one rolling late.

#5 Daniel the Dreamer (4/1) has set the pace going two turns the last couple races. Has never shown speed sprinting, but could be close up on the cut back.

2-1-5

Race 8 – 5.5F CLM 12,500

#3 Kelly (4/1) has been close the last two efforts with a 2nd and 3rd place finish beaten a length combined. 6 straight races Kelly has taken over the lead at some point down the stretch. Julien Couton should have this one in a good spot just off the pace.

#1 Princess Ashlyn (3/1) raced at Los Al during the Golden Gate hiatus finishing 2nd after a bad break. Expect to be on the lead from the rail under Ricardo Gonzalez.

#8 Meet Miss Kitty (10/1) is dropping in class for trainer Clifford DeLima. Won at big odds three starts back from off the pace. Could surprise at a price.

3-1-8
