Race 3 is Leg C of the Stronach 5

Race 1 – 6F Maiden CLM 12,500

#5 Successful Command (5/2) has been close to the pace going two turns, expect Julian Couton to have this one in a good spot for this sprint. #1 Jamason (2/1) raced on the tapeta for the first time last out, look for improvement on the class drop and getting the services of Kent Desormeaux. #4 Blues Rapper (9/5) comes in first off the claim for Bill McLean. Has not shown much in 4 starts, all in Southern California. Getting big class relief today.

5-1-4

Race 2 – 1 Mile CLM 4,000

#4 Private Kitty (2/1) is a lightly raced 4 year old making just her 5th start for Efrain Miranda. First time blinkers (30%) today and 1/1 at the distance. #1 Moon Rocket (9/2) comes in with a bullet work earlier this week (1 of 29). Should be sent towards the front from the inside post. Dueled last out before weakening late and being passed by #2 My Idol (9/5) who finished a close 2nd. Expect to sit just off the pace.

4-1-2

Race 3 – 5.5F CLM 8000

#1 Going Away Party (9/5) has 3 wins in 6 starts at 5.5 furlongs, good tactical speed and could be close to the front from the inside post. Won at this level two races back, has leading rider Juan Hernandez. #3 Aalsmeer (7/2) had a bad start last out before closing for 3rd, competitive numbers and Kent Desormeaux riding. #6 King Eddie (2/1) has been facing much tougher. Usually near the front early. This one might prefer the turf.

1-3-6

Race 4 – 1 Mile CLM 20,000

#1 Torpedo Away (5/2) has a good closing run gaining ground late in each of the last 4 starts. Like the stretch out to a mile, could be the perfect distance for this one. #4 I Declare War (7/5) finished 2nd at this level last out following a 3rd place finish two races back. Likes to be up front and will try to get away from this field. #2 Arch Anthem (4/1) comes in first off the claim for Tim Bellasis. Was a beaten favorite at this level last out finishing 4th behind I Declare War and Jimmy G.

1-4-2

Race 5 – 6F CLM 3,200

#1 Lacey’s Rainbow (9/5) will be sent out for trainer Bill McLean and leading rider Juan Hernandez. Has the best figures as of late, could best this field. #2 Saturncloud (8/5) comes in second start off the layoff. Has flashed early speed in the past and expect to be sent towards the front in this one. #3 It Girl (4/1) comes in with four consecutive 3rd place finishes. Just 2 wins in 55 starts but consistently in the money.

1-2-3

Race 6 – 1 Mile Maiden CLM 8000

#4 Unusually Green (2/1) will be running best late in the race. Coming off a 2nd place finish last out and win at this level two races back. #6 Get Like Me (5/2) will be sent out for owner/trainer Isidro Tamayo. Made a late run for 3rd last out, gets the jockey upgrade to Juan Hernandez. #2 Taelyns Prince (9/5) could be the one to beat with Frank Alvarado. Expect to be close to the pace with lack of early speed in this field.

4-6-2

Race 7 – 5.5F CLM 5,000

#2 Hot’n Notty (2/1) has been beaten a combined length in the last three starts. Running well with 6 consecutive in the money finishes. Expect to sit a good trip and be running well late with Hugo Herrera. #4 Far West (8/1) closed well in a win at this distance last out for trainer Blaine Wright.  #1 Silent Movies (8/5) comes in first off the claim (29%) for trainer Jonathan Wong. 8/10 in the money on the tapeta including 3 wins.

2-4-1

Race 8 – 1 1/16 Miles CLM 8,000

#5 Giant Mark (2/1) likes to be on the lead and could be alone up front. Reunited with rider Catalino Martinez, winner in 3 of the last 5 starts. #6 Gray gem (9/5) has been a beaten favorite the last two races, finishing 2nd at this level last out. Kent Desormeaux stays aboard. #4 Journey to Run (5/1) has competitive numbers and comes in off a 3rd place finish. Should be sitting back making a run late. #7 Toro de Toro (6/1) comes in for Isidro Tamayo off the layoff. Last ran in June so may need this race.
