nd: 5-4-2-8 Mizzen Air has a sharp recent race over the course and was right there in her previous turf sprint. 6-1 ML seems unrealistically high. Giagiajoe is always a factor and always bet. D J Soul Sista got hot over the course last spring but may have lost a step in the interim. Tough Kicks also fits with these.

th: 6-4-5 Don’t Tell Marge doesn’t care for the main track but her turf races are better, especially when she is put in the race early. At Ellis Park she was reserved behind some slow paces. I expect Graham to be more aggressive this time.Divine Quality beat maidens going two turns over the grass at Delaware. I like two-turn maiden special weight winners coming back over the same surface and distance in entry-level allowance races.Seeds of Time tries turf for the first time but showed promise winning her second lifetime start.I don’t care for some of the favorites in this race. Princesschope is just 1 for 16 lifetime. Goddess of Kip was 3 for 48 lifetime before going on a winning streak in Chicago. Need to see her reproduce that form in New Orleans before taking a low price.
th: 7-2 An unimpressive field to say the least. Brown’s Monkey won wire to wire once and could get the lead again today. He’s a contender but I like Card Shark a little bit more. Won his debut at Evangeline and then was no factor twice while facing better. Figures to be close early versus this motley crew.
th: 4-12-2 Brerry was made eligible for starter races by his last try for $5000, from which he was claimed. Has back class, which is often a plus in starter races. Nearly half the field exits the same race on November 16. Of those, I like the jockey switch to Lanerie on Red Corvette, who I picked last time. Wicked Stride is in form and has several near misses over the Fair Grounds turf course.

th: 7-10-4 Although the running line looks similar, Awesome One improved quite a bit in her second start. Sire Speightstown has had success with turf runners. Lake Local and Gun Club are promising first-time starters.
th: 4-9-6 Alex’s Turn has been routing of late but has had better success sprinting. Plenty of early speed in this one sets up for his closing kick. Discreetly D is another one that should be motoring late. Charge the Line was right there versus similar last time and is a contender at a low price.
