Conditions – Sunny, Low Wind, Very Cold and first frost of the season.
Prayers for Exercise Rider, Odanis Acuna Today who was involved in a fatal exercise ride this morning. The horse, New York Harbor (unraced 2 yr old) who was then euthanized after breaking both front legs.
Race 1 –MSW 6.5F The Ladies 3yo.

For these last outs are key as well as how they look in the morning works.
No denying Urban Insight is doing both but for even money, I am looking elsewhere. I saw three of the entries work at CD with Shanghai and Irreplaceable looking the best with Honored Promise not showing much.
Race 2 – Clm8000

7 – She Looks Proud
10 – Trilby
2 – Zena Rules After the Scratch
Not real excited here and leaving the 2- Zena Rules out carrying less. Another one I believe that will be bet to a low return and my rule for 15,000CLM or less is not bet favorites on top if I can avoid it. Don’t Stop Maria had a work at CD on 10-26 going 4f in 49.3. You will not see this on the PP’s and lets see if CD notes this as a late unlisted work. The horse exhibited a solid reach and moving well. The 10, Trilby is sneaky with the trainer and Cory Orm up after a layoff.
Race 3 – 40,000CLM for 2 Year Olds going 6f
5 – Intonation
3 – Deano
Long Bomb – 2 Veritas
1 – Collection Late Add
I think Intonation still needs time to develop and what a purchase price to be running here. Well bet in first three races and I think the 20,000 drop was a steal for the claim. Horse can handle the CD ground and should win against this bunch. I like Veritas for a price here based on equipment change and some last works. The entries here are just all over on their running lines…because they are babies that still need time to develop!!!
Race 4- Mdn 1 Mile Turf Baby 2yr Ladies
3 – Irish Intuition
4 – Seeking a Star
1 – Accolady
8 – Free to Fly; 10 – Lady Leah
Fun race here and on the turf which will not be frozen tundra come the afternoon. Big fan of some notable bloodlines in the 1 and the 10 for turf; Kittens Joy alert!!!
Still think Brian Hernandez will get this one with great form, turn back and good ground this time.
Race 5 – ALW 10,000 11/16 Mile
5- Altito
1 – Levanto
8 – Yes I See
2 – Memphisinmay
Not a great race here. Sometimes layoffs help these horses and so I included the 2, Memphisinmay. To find the winner, you just need to look throw out the last race of the 5, Altito going 15 miles on turf at Kee and keeps Julien guiding to finishline.
Race 6 Mdn 76,000 for the Ladies 2yr.
3 – Eye’s Reward
6 – Broadway Cat
8 – Portion
2 – Freudian Finish
Tough race here. From a visual work performance at CD Freudian Finish looks the best but the barn has been cold at CD. I tend to look for a race or two before betting first timers. It is hard to get away from Eye’s Reward or Broadway Cat based in their experience and connections. I think Dallas Stewart after a nearly two month layoff might have Broadway Cat ready with BJ back aboard.
Race 7 1 3/8 mile Turf Allowance
5 – Midnight Tea Time
8 – Arrival
2 – Cullum Road
1 – Lascaux / 7 – Gostisbehere
3 – Yourdecisionnotmine
I like the added ground for the 5 Midnight Tea Time and running with some tough maidens on tough circuits. Wow on the 8 Arrival being gelded for that price. Being by Tapit it was probably a real character prior to say the least. I like the layoff and should be a decent price. None of these works at CD were stellar for anyone – tough race.

1 – Curate
4 – Third Day
6 – Best of Greeley
3 – Lasting Legacy / 5 Totally Boss (surface change)
Why is Brad Cox entering Curate for this race and option – same with the 4, Third Day for Brian Lynch? Lasting Legacy showed some nice works at CD with ears up and with power.

Race 10 1 1/16 Turf G3 Commonwealth
1 – Reride
Would have liked to have seen more entries like 10 and not just 7. If you toss out the 2 and the 5, there you go with 5 all capable of winning. I am a fan of Reride and throw out last time with soft ground. The 3, Snipper Kitten out of…Kittens Joy is a must play always. The 4, March to the Arch has been everywhere and Julien aboard. The 7 Hot Springs not working great in the mornings but has shown it can compete at this level.
Race 11 – Long Day 7 Furlongs CLM 30
3 – Taylors Princess
9 – Honor with Pride
7 – Sophie’s Angel
12 – Trivial
4 – Her Kitty
Looking for a price here to end the day. I am a fan of the ten cent super box for these reasons and for races like this one. Put a wheel or five horse box and you could walk home with some dough for not a lot at risk. This scenario worked for me on the BC Classic that paid over $1600. I posted proof on Twitter.
