Going 3 deep in the first 3 races looks to be a necessity here. There enough talent in the first two to not pick a clear winner and the third race (race 5) is a bunch of low level maidens so we will want coverage in case something out there happens.
Race 6 only has 2 real threats in my opinion. The favorite has a very limited amount of info to look at, however you can’t help but think that reloading him into the gate after he broke through didn’t help him last race as he was just caught before the wire. The other choice just looks like he would be the one to beat the favorite and to me is the most likely winner.
Race 7 is where we are taking the shot with a single, if you don’t want to take a single here I would suggest including the 1 or 3. However for myself this single just makes so much sense and is in the perfect spot. This horse just won at the level at this distance, gets the jockey back up, is a consistent runner at this level and has places in ungraded stakes. Just on another level to the rest here.
The finale, if we are still live, is a maiden claimer, oh whoopee. I love the 6 horse here, at 8/1 ML that would be a great closer to get home. We skip the only horse with no experience and go with the 3 and 5. The 5 has had 2 straight 2nd’s and the 3 just got caught before the wire last time out. Looking for improvement from both.
