Belmont Park Racing Analysis — Sunday, September 27, 2020, by Nick Babice

Race 1)
(6) Looks like the right one off of her first two starts.
(3) Going in the right direction. Mommy was a good turfer.
(4)should be right there if she is ready for the return.

Race 2)
(8) He will be tough to beat if anything like his maiden win is in store for us today. You have to wonder why the long layoff after the maiden score 9 months ago. In good hands so you have to think he will be ready for this. If he has grown up any since his maiden win he should be very good now. Steady works leading up to this.
(2) Probably needed one. Should be set and runs for a top turf barn.
(6)This barn is dangerous with everything they run so this one should not be overlooked. Also note the rider seems to only ride with very live horses for this barn. Four wins for 7 starts.
(4)might want to go 4 deep in this race. CC tribe is on fire right now.

Race 3)
(4) Sharpest of this bunch lately. Has done her best running at this level lately. Tough race to play at all because none of these can be trusted.
(5) She should be at her best with this drop in class but is that good enough to win here?
(2) Usually runs best races at this distance. Stretching back out should help. She runs her best at the mile distance.

Race 4)
****BEST BET(7) One of my favorite bets is a first time starter running in a turf race for this trainer. He wins with a good amount of them and when they win, they pay decent most of the time. If you bet every time you see this situation you will be profitable in the long run. This past Thursday he won with one of these types and that winner paid $21.00.
(4) Another barn good with turfers. Good works leading up to this and well bred.
(3) Same barn as above and has also been working along side of his stable mate. Good works, good breeding, and good turf barn.

Race 5)
(10) If we get some unexpected rain and this race is moved to the main track, this one is going to be tough to beat. Barn is dangerous off any claim and this one is already sharp. Won last.
(8) Turn back in distance is key here today. She hasn’t been worse than second in four starts at this level and she should run a big one again today.(9) Right behind top pick in last two. Could be right there again. Tough race.(1) Ran well off the claim. Last was intended to be her first turf race and they are sticking with that plan so she may be a big surprise in this spot???

Race 6)
**(6) Has been right there in both turf starts and today should be her best race yet. Third start off layoff is usually the best. Horse that finished 2nd in last came back to win next start and first and third finishers in race two back both came back winners. Has been right there with sharp company since returning from her vacation.
(2) Steady improvement in three races to date and another move forward puts her right in the thick of it here.
(3) Should be a tough customer here.

Race 7)
(6) Hard to look at any others in here based on this one’s debut race. Only one in the group with past experience and that race was a very good second. He may not even have to improve to get the job done here? Any of the others could be a monster but that remains to be seen.
(8) Good barn. Well bred. Sharp works. Beyond the top one it’s a crap shoot.(1) Ditto. In fact this whole card is pretty much a crap shoot!!

Race 8)
(11) Has had some issues recently but with the wide draw today he will likely be able to get a clean trip. Tough to decide on either of these Clement runners.
(8) Probably really needed a race based on his last performance. Should be all set now and will be tough to beat. Rider change to one of the best turf jockeys on this circuit can’t hurt either. He picked up a win for this barn yesterday.
(10) Last two were good and his only run at this track was a good second in a graded stakes race. Could be dangerous here.

Race 9)
(7) Has been running in restricted races for the most part and has run quite well. Had one race in open company and that was a good showing in a graded stakes race. Also ran her best race at this distance. Just looks like the right one in this spot.
(2) Always gives a good account of herself and the class relief here has to help.
(3) Always gets action when she runs. She won her only race over this course back in July.

Race 10)
(10) Barn usually get their new acquisitions to improve. Just missed at the level in last.
(9) Tough off last. Bad race here so it isn’t going to take much to win it.
(5) Sharp win in last so why not try turf. Sharp horses do win races.
