Gulfstream Park Racing Analysis- Wednesday Dec 5, 2018- By James Crouse

Gulfstream Park 12/5/18

Race 1- 50k maiden 1 mile turf 2yr olds.
#8- Loved his first start on the grass and getting class relief out of MSW company and restricted Stakes. In that race,  he was bumped at the start.
#2- His second start will show great improvement plus Pletcher/Saez combo is pretty dangerous.
#1- Horse got cut since his start in MD in Oct. and could show big improvement. The Cibelli/Juarez combo is 50% ITM

Race 2- 16k claimer 5 fur Turf 3 yr old and up
#3- Kenneally is 34% at this distance and surface and 40% off the claim. Expecting big things today.
#5- Getting class relief should help. He had decent Beyer figs at Gulf last winter In much tougher races than this one
#9- Jockey-trainer combo is 67% in the money. Could wire this field if he can clear.

Race 3- First Level AOC 12.5k FL-bred
#7- Knocking on the door last two races against much better. Stretch out will help. Much the best, and is worth of a single in multi race bets.
#4- Clear second-best

Race 4- 6250 claimed NW2
Ugly race; not much opinion
#1- 100% Jockey trainer combo ITM
#8- Nice race to break its maiden last out at GPW

Race 5- Maiden 20k F/M3yr old up 1MTurf
#3- Has waited his turn too long and this is his race. He just missed last out because of traffic, and his back class looks good.
#1- Hopefully the drop in class will wake this filly up, Trainer change to KO, and cost $125k in ’16 at Saratoga sale makes this her coming out party.
#9- She is lightly raced so should be fresh, and Miguel Vasquez keeps the mount.

Race 6- 6250 open 6F F/M 3yr old and up
#10- This filly loves the track. She’ 50% ITM and picks up Tyler Gaffalione.
12- Tough post, but Navarro and Irad makes this filly a must use.
#2- Trainer is 51% of the claim and gets Jaramillo aboard.

Race 7- 16k claimer NW2 F/M 7.5T
#9- Perfect next step. Keeps Irad aboard, the Irad-Cibelli combination is 70% ITM past 12 months
#8- Class of the race, easiest spot yet.
#5- Throw out last race, picks up Saez and like the route to sprint angle. Jockey-trainer combo 64% ITM.

Race 8- n/w1x Allowance 6F FM 3yr old and UP
#1- Tough post, but love Nik Juarez getting back on, Filly has been 4/6 ITM at Gulfstream, pace should set up well for her.
#5- Nice freshening off maiden win. She comes back in perfect spot, and Tyler jumps aboard
#3- Hot pace up front could set up for this closer, Saez, the top jockey from last winter, jumps back on.

Race 9- 16k Open 6F 2 Yr old Fillies
#8- She is unbeaten coming of a nice layoff with a great work Nov. 10. No excuse.
#10-Filly has really come into form and gets Jose Ortiz today. He’s been on board for every good race.
#1- Big class drop from last 2 races should wake her up, and gets the Hot Tyler G.
#5- Trainer is 28% off the claim and jockey/trainer combo are 100% ITM over the past year.

Race 10-25k Maiden F/M 3YUP 5Turf
#3- My home town Fair Hill may bite me here, but I love Sweet Apple Pie. They paid $240k for this filly as a 2yr old and Matz knows his Union Rags fillies. Jockey/trainer combo 67% ITM past 12 months
#2- A filly out of Street Sense with rising Beyer figs is one to respect. Route to sprint is a positive angle, and will definitely be in the mix
#10- Hot young jockey and the ship to Gulfstream may wake up this filly
