Race 1: MAIDEN CLAIMING $16,000 – $14,000 5 1/2 furlongs
Picks: 6-1-7
Baravelli (#6): Drops from $40,000 to $16,000 level and gets blinkers for the first time, where trainer is 15% with first time blinkers. Has modest speed and could be mid pack, his class drop and timely works should bring him through.
Transom (#1): Dropped to $15,000 level last out and was beaten only a head. Has speed and the rail to his advantage. Gets leading rider Trevor McCarthy for the first time. Trainer is 19% in maiden claimers. Should be a use in here.
I’mthetapitnow (#7): Drops from $25,000 to $16,000 level and gets lasix for the first time. Trainer is 50% with first time lasix. Has a late kick and should get a good pace up front. Worthy of a long look.
Race 2: MAIDEN SPECIAL WEIGHT   One mile and One Sixteenth
Picks: 4-5-7
Mind the Gap (#4): Will get a fast track and has the best experience of this group. Trainer is 27% in dirt starts and has been turning in nice works coming in. Could be on the lead. Must use.
Outofthepark (#5): Was third last time out and gets to go two turns for the first time. Trainer is 21% in third off the layoff and gets leading rider Victor Carrasco. Will be coming late.
Biz Nasty(#7): Makes career debut, where trainer is 20% in routes and has the pedigree to get the distance. Set moderate works coming in. Trainer is 17% on the meet.
Race 3: CLAIMING $5,000 Six furlongs
Picks: 1-2-3
May Flowers (#1): Drops to lowest level in her career, going from $20,000 to $5,000. Trainer is 29% when dropping two classes. There is plenty of speed to her outside, a good pocket trip and she can upset here.
Southern Peach (#2): In the superfecta in seven straight starts, this mare has won two of those seven starts. She has speed and can go from the inside. All her best races come with Weston Hamilton aboard.
More than Treasure (#3): Won two straight at this level earlier this year and trainer is 22% in sprints this year. Could be in a sped duel and has the class to be a contender.
Race 4:  MAIDEN CLAIMING $16,000 – $14,000 Six furlongs
Picks: 8-10-3
Gateau St Honore (#8): Drops from $25,000 to $16,000 level and trainer is 22% in maiden claimers. He comes from mid pack, and with some speed will be coming late. Moe experience the better.
Darter (#10): Drops from $25,000 to $14,000 level. Throw out last race,  had a bad stumble at the start and never recovered. This horse has alot of speed, and if he gets alone, could be dangerous.
Sophie N (#3): Ships in from New York and gets blinkers for the first time. Trainer is 17% with first time blinkers. Also drops from $40,000 to $16,000 here today. Worthy long shot look.
Race 5: MAIDEN CLAIMING $16,000 – $14,000 5 1/2 furlongs
Picks: 1-9-12
Tiger Eyes (#1): Takes a big class drop here and goes to lowest level claimer in her career. Has the rail and speed. Two of her wins have come at Laurel Park. Three of her wins have come from inside posts and when she shows speed. She will have to do that today to have a chance.
Bioterp (#9): Drops two classes from last race, trainer is 28% when dropping two classes. Will pressure the pace, good jockey/trainer combination. Posting nice works coming in, this one can be dangerous.
Boheme de Lavi (#12): Dropping from $15,000 to $5,000 level. Trainer ships her into Laurel for first time in a long time. Trainer is 25% shipping and 25% in sprints. She will need a good pace and can get it. Solid jockey/ trainer combination.
Race 6: STARTER OPTIONAL CLAIMING $25,000 Six furlongs
Picks: 4-7-2
Margie’s Money (#4): Drops from $35,000 to $25,000 claiming today. She is four for ten at Laurel Park and has posted solid works coming in. Last start she stumbled at the break and lost all chance. A good break today and she have a better chance.
Autobahn Express (#7): This filly won at this level and distance in her last race. She was mid pack and came through. She will have to repeat that last performance in order to win. Picks up Feargal Lynch for the first time. Trainer is 18% in last out wins.
Miss Jane (#2): Has three straight second place finishes and has run her last two with Trevor McCarthy aboard. She will be equipped with blinkers for the first time, where the trainer is 22%. She has faced tougher before. Will be mid pack and will be coming at the end.
Race 7: ALLOWANCE N/W1X
Picks: 9-1-7
Fashion Week (#9): Will be going two turns on dirt for the first time in her career. She was second at a mile last time out and when Shug McGaughey ships to Laurel, he means business. She will get pace to her inside, she will sit off, if she can get first run, she has a big chance to upset.
Thesweetsttaboo (#1): Comes in off win in $25,000 maiden claimer. Trainer is 27% with maiden winners in next start. She gets the inside and speed is outside, she can save ground and get a run. Goes two turns for first time, where trainer is 22%. Worth a look.
Well Blessed (#7): Switches to dirt for first time. Trainer is 30% when switching surfaces. She has speed and could be upfront early. If she gets clear, she could go a long way. Pedigree suggest dirt will not be a problem, will her class get her through?
Race 8: CLAIMING $5,000 One Mile
Picks: 2-8-7
Angelinthemorning (#2): Winner of two straight and taking on a field not as tough as her last two wins. Trainer is 29% in claimer repeats and 21% in last out wins. Likely speed of the field, she can go a long way. Must use.
Late Action (#8): Ships in from Mountaineer with new connections. Trainer is 20% with first time horses and 30% in claimer repeats. Drops to lowest level of her career and could be a live look. She can go to lead or sit off, from outside, she could go, if so, and left alone, can take them a long way.
Beatubyachubinose (#7) Ships into Laurel where she goes the one turn mile. Trainer is 16% shipping and a nice jockey/trainer combination. Drops in class and will get pace in here, could be a long shot worth looking at.
Race 9:  CLAIMING $12,500 – $10,500 N/W2L  Six Furlongs
Picks: 5-8-7
Off the Bourbon (#5): Comes off a win at the maiden $12,500 level at Delaware Park. Trainer is 14% with last out maiden winners. She changed tactics and went to the front and lead the whole way. Not a lot of speed here, so Off the Bourbon can get away and steal this.
Grace Isabella (#8): Drops to the $12,500 level and returns to dirt. Trainer is 13% in turf to dirt races. Modest work pattern coming in, she will be coming from mid pack and will need pace.
Expect Wonderful (#7): Broke the maiden at $16,500 and now drops to $12,000 here today. Trainer is 22% with last out maiden winners. She will stalk the pace and get first run. Weston Hamilton is back aboard, who was aboard for her maiden score. If she can stay out of trouble and get pace to chase, she has a chance.
