Gulfstream Park Racing Analysis- Dec 21, 2018- By David Pyrz

                                                        Gulfstream 12-21-18

1st day of winter is here so let’s make some $

  1. 2-6…. #2 The Kid in Syd- 24% trainer 1st at route, caught sloppy track 1st start then bumped 2nd start now hopefully catches a fast track and just might like running at GP. #6 Quasar Moon is a Pletcher drop, turf to dirt and could win if he likes the dirt surface.
  2. 6-…. #6  Royally Cool- Runs for a hot trainer and an owner who loves to be in the winner’s circle. Dangerous speed and good works means this one is ready to wire the field and is a single.
  3. 8-3-2…. #8 Third Edition- have heard this one can run a little but might want more distance. Will still take a chance with him on top for a trainer who can have them ready at a price. #3 Proud as Punch- team valor owned,Mcpeek trained has run well over turf in 2 starts in KY, any improvement and he will be tough to handle. #2 State of War- Finally gets to run on turf and dam has 2 winner’s on turf and this could be her 3rd winner today.
  4. 2-3…. #2 Diamond Bachelor- winless at GP but we don’t care. Turf to dirt, route to sprint we like this one today. #3 Fire Mission– old class and has run well of layoff’s in the past. If he run’s one from memory he can easily win.
  5. 8 or ALL- to be honest I will be punching the All button in this race as I really have no clue BUT…. #8 Rotate- is worth a win bet if above 7-1. Dropping, bullet work 1st time Lasix so I will take the bait if the price is right.
  6. 5-1…. #5 Go Go Jak- is in the barn of Zerpa who is winning at 41% this year. A repeat of his last race will win this. #1- Dancing Starlet- likes GP, dropping and will have a say in this race.
  7. 8…. #8 Gearhead- is another Single today. Has been waiting to get back to the turf and is ready to romp against this bunch.
  8. 7-1…. Tough race where again I will admit I most likely will punch the All button in the late Picks. #7 Enoughandthensome- has run ok but has lacked that final kick to win. #1 Dalal- She can break and might not look back if she can get the early lead by herself.
  9. 9-8…. #9 Zap Daddy- is 3rd off layoff, 2nd off claim and should have a nice pace to run into from the outside post. #8 Blue Lute- Has a little hang in him but is always in position to win. If he has learned to take the lead and not hang he could win.
  10. 4-2-12-6…. #4 Sensational Zip- has run ok on the dirt in the past at FG but they were routes. Recently been running in sprints at Arlington on the poly and if can transform that to this dirt sprint a win is a big possibility. #2 Wahoowah- does he wake up returning to the GP dirt is the big question. His races at GP were awful in the past but they were against msw. Will include just in case. #12- Code Seventy Seven- ok works but the stats is what says you have to include. Some key stats are: 1st start 26% win and first debut maiden claiming a big 44% win. #6- Tropical Tapistry- is another I am including based off the stats. In a peculiar move the trainer actually wins at 17% moving up 1 class level and hits the board at almost  40%, Use this one as a bomb in any position you want.

Good Luck to All and Happy Holidays
