Race 1: Claiming $16,000-$14,000 Three Year Old fillies and upward
Turf Picks: 7-5-2
Off the turf picks: 7-2-4
#7 Market Money: Market Money has not finished off the board in 2018. She comes in off a win at Penn National and has a 2nd and 3rd in three starts at Laurel. She has quick gate speed and will jump from the start. Comes in off three bullet works in a row. She is ready to roll.
#5 Dance or Stroll: Drops sharply in the claiming ranks from $25,000 last out to $16,000 today. She has won at this distance going for cheaper claims, and won on July 1st for $30,000 going the same distance. Drop in class will help, expected to get hot pace, will be flying late.
#2: Oh So Lovely: Comes in off two wins in a row and both with rider Jevian Toledo. Trainer is 10% when 60 days away. She loves the Laurel turf course, going two for five, and both wins came at $16,000 level, will need to close from hot pace.
Race 2: CLAIMING $20,000, 6 furlongs (Dirt)
Picks: 5-1-8
#5 Past Perfect: Comes in off sharp maiden win at Delaware Park last month. Trainer Anthony Pecoraro is 20% shipping and 39% with second time lasix. Trainer has worked on gate skills and was more matured last time out, breaking better and running away. Field has little speed, could take him wire to wire.
#1: Party on Bourbon: One of two horses in the field to win going the six furlong distance. Has inside post, so can save ground and stay close. Trainer Brandon Kulp is 20% shipping and 15% maiden winners. Should get first run on leaders when turning for home.
#8: Hail the Queen: Comes in off a maiden claiming win at Ellis Park. Hasn’t run since August 19th, but trainer is 27% with horses 45-60 days away. From the outside, she will have to go to avoid getting caught wide, but has speed. Won from post 8 in maiden win.
Race 3:  MAIDEN CLAIMING $25,000 5 1/2 furlongs (Dirt)
Picks: 5-1-4
#5: Vorian: Makes career debut, where trainer is 25% debuting in maiden claimers. Comes in off sharp four furlong drills back to back weeks. Rosario Montanez is having a good meet so far, family known for speed, so he could be flying early.
#1 Quality Step: Drops from Maidens to the claiming ranks and has faced much tougher than this group. Trainer Kelly Breen is 19% shipping with his runners. Comes in off a sharp workout last week. Experience could be a factor when facing these others. Must use.
#4: Three Phase: Horse has always been a bridesmaid, six start, four second place finishes. Will sit mid-pack, if enough pace he can come late. Beyers numbers have been consistent, he runs his race, he can get up for a placing, or win.
Race 4:  ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING $35,000, One mile (Turf)
Picks: 3-13-1
Off the turf: 9-7-1A
#3 Chubby Star: Run against much better before this group. Was graded stake placed in 2017, and is two for four over the Laurel Turf. She is reunited with rider Alex Cintron, who won the first time abroad last out. Good break, she can sit just off leaders and pounce. Class will carry her through.
#13: Hit the board in four straight starts since being claimed. Comes in off runner up effort in G3 at Park last time out. Outside post means she will have to go early. Can sit or come from far back.
#1: Aciano: Comes in off seven length romp at Monmouth Park last time out. Since being claimed two starts back from Canada, she has taken a liking to the new surroundings. Comes in off back to back sharp drills at Fair Hill. Jockey/ trainer combo has been successful. With the rail, she can use her speed and could carry her through.
Race 5: CLAIMING $5,000 6 furlongs (Dirt)
Picks: 3-4-6
#3 The Great Provider: Drops to lowest level claiming race of his career. Was 2nd in $20,000 claimer at Laurel two starts back, get Trevor McCarthy, huge plus. Has good gate speed, not a lot of pace, so he can go early and could hang around late.
#4 Awesome Standard: Finished in the top 3 in three straight starts at the $5,000 level. Won at $10,000 level three starts back. Has speed and can rate. Will have to sit to avoid speed duel.
#6 Humbolt Street: Though winless in two starts this year, his last five starts at the $5,000 level resulted in three wins and two 3rds,  all three wins coming at Laurel Park. Trainer is 19% with horses 3rd off the layoff. Will need moderate pace, but will be coming late.
Race 6: CLAIMING $12,500 – $10,500 One mile (Dirt)
Picks: 3-5-1
#3 Accusing: Drops to lowest claiming level of career. Has hit the board going one mile in five out of six starts. Can sit off the pace and will come late. Should enjoy this field today.
#5 High Flying Glory: Won at $12,500 level last time out, makes Laurel debut today and speed figures have gotten better over last three starts. Good record over off track with placing in four our of five starts.
1 Somedreamscometrue: Only win came at one mile going one turn this year at Gulfstream Park. Trainer is 20% with dirt starters. Won only race for $12,500 and drops to $10,000 today. Much better close to the lead, expect to be sent from the start.
Race 7: CLAIMING $5,000 Six furlongs (Dirt)
Picks: 3-7-2
#3 Army Grey: Won two straight at $5,000 level, as well as hitting the board in seven straight starts. Trainer is 26% with claiming repeat winners. Has been hot with Jomar Torres on the saddle. Has the speed to get it done. Must use on ticket.
#7 Drive at Nite: Record not impressive, but he drops into easier company today and back at level he can win at. Plenty of speed in the race, has chance for upset if he gets right trip.
#2 Icelake: Consistant beyer numbers, plenty of speed in the race, if he gets the right trip, then he will be flying late. should get good inside trip with speed to outside.
Race 8: CLAIMING $12,500 – $10,500 1 1/16 (Dirt)
Picks: 5-7-3
#5 The Great Loudini: Makes Laurel Park debut today, comes off good efforts at Monmouth and Delaware. Finally gets to level he can be competitive at. Picks up Daniel Centeno, speed is to the outside, so he get a moderate pace, he can come late.
#7: Hayne’s Fever: Get blinkers off today, trainer is 33% when taking blinkers off, he will go from the outside. Drops to lowest level race in long time. Must use on ticket.
#3 Whiskey Wu: Drops from stakes company back to claiming ranks. Won at $16,000 two back and has speed to outside, he will sit mid-pack, good pace, he will be coming late. Jockey Sheldon Russell is having a good meet.
Race 9: STARTER OPTIONAL CLAIMING $25,000 One mile
Picks: 11-2-6
#11 Redneck Cowboy: Main track only was second last out at Laurel Park, rain dampens field, so shorter field means better price. Main track experience is key, only two wins came on dirt, one turn mile should suit him nice.
#2 Super Buddy: Another main track only, horse consistently runs at this level. Should benefit from defections and could be lone speed. Trainer is red hot right now, must use on ticket.
#6 Special Intention: Drops to $25,000 starter, quality dirt pedigree best races have come at one mile on dirt. Should be close up front and needs good pace to get it done.
Race 10:
MAIDEN CLAIMING $16,000 – $14,000 5 1/2 furlongs
Picks: 13-10-1
#13 Bobs Your Uncle: Likely will run on dirt, lone dirt start was for $40,000 and at six furlongs. today, gets big drop in class and added distance he should like. Trainer is 24% in maiden claimers. A reduced field will help his chances.
#10 Jack of Spades:: If on dirt, he drops to lowest level in claiming in career. Ran better races once dropped to claiming ranks. Likely will be close to pace, he can get first run, he can kick away. Drops from $25,000 to $16,000. Could get nice price.
#1 Pro Riot: Drops from $25,000 to $14,000 in claiming, entered to run on dirt. Doesn’t have great gate speed, so if he gets fast pace, he could come late. Trainer is having solid meet. Solid dirt pedigree.
